This was a wonderful place to stay for two 60+ travelers in Bath. It is only a short walk from the city center, and also a very easy walk to and from the bus station or train station. You won't need a cab. Later, as we drove by to Stonhenge, our guide called it's street (Great Pulteney Street) the second... More

Stayed at the Edgar Townhouse for 3 nights for my wife's birthday weekend. The good points first are the location is excellent being a short walk into the centre of town, the Hotel is perfect for a short weekend break. It was spotlessly clean. We stayed with 2 other couples and we all had the basement bedrooms. Our room (No.15)... More

Great location. Lovely room. Awesome breakfast. Staff couldn't have been more friendly or helpful. Recommended! Our room had lovely high ceilings and a nice view at the back of the building up the hill. The view at the front would be equally as good as you could see the Georgian architecture of Great Pultney Street (Grade 1 listed). And I... More

The Edgar Townhouse is in a very nice area of Bath, but a very short walk into the town centre. The staff were very nice and nothing was too much trouble for them. We had a twin bedroom on the 3rd floor not suitable for anyone who can't tackle stairs. The room was small but adequate for an overnight stay.... More

We stayed here last year and we are returning again this year. The staff are lovely , breakfast was lush .location was perfect , managed to get a parking space right outside ( cost 8.00 for the weekend but well worth it )

Stayed here recently when visiting friends. Travelling alone I was looking for a single room at a reasonable price. The room I stayed in was small but this was expected as room size was stated in the information when booking,it was clean and comfortable although it did need updating. The staff were friendly and helpful and breakfast was great with... More

Stayed here twice now to visit family and will definitely book again. The hotel is in a fantastic location and sits on a beautiful street. So close to the centre but so quiet! We have stayed in room 1 and 11. Both were clean and comfortable with lovely views to the rear. The staff are all very friendly and helpful,... More

Reasonably comfortable near the Holbourne Museum & close to Bath's attractions. The bedroom was decorated in a modern style, which I didn't particularly like, but was clean. The carpet was not good though. Shower was a bit small, no guest fridge or honesty bar compared to other guest houses in Bath I stayed at. No place to store fresh milk... More

Brilliant location for our weekend away in Bath. The townhouse is elegant and clean, the staff friendly and they do a great breakfast. The only slight downside was our room (No.1) Very small and very dated but it was clean and I'm sure it'll be brought up to the high standard of the rest of the building soon! Overall a... More

This place is in a wonderful position, half-way along Great Pulteney Street, so as somewhere to stay in central Bath, it looks a good bet. From what I saw (and heard), the rooms don't quite live up to the location. Mine was OK as a single, but would have been cramped as a double. The bed was comfortable and the... More

Thank you for the review. I am glad our enjoyed our newly revised breakfast menu. Sorry the coffee was not to your liking but we have a fine selection of teas as well. The windows can stick as they are period sash windows. We will ensure they are shut before guests arrive. We are refurbishing many of the rooms so... More
