Just a very short stroll from the city centre this B and B is in a perfect location and has on road parking. Only downside, the shower head on the bath wasn't on the wall which did let the room down. Friendly helpful staff. Beware of early check out times.

We were really well looked after. All our needs were met. Breakfasts to die for. Very comfortable and warm. Very close to Roman Baths and Abbey. Although the rooms were not large it meant they warmed up very quickly. Bottled water in the rooms was a boon.

The Edgar Townhouse has a number things going for it, primarily it's location & the breakfast. For people looking to be close to the Rec for the rugby, you couldn't ask for a closer place to stay. Large selection of rooms although we were a little disappointed with the size of ours & it could do with a little TLC.... More

Family of 5 visited in Feb 2015. There are lots of hotels to choose from nearby and in of course in Bath generally. Booking staff were very helpful and although the family room and adjacent double (rooms 4 and 2 by the way) were not available effort was made to accommodate us easily. We had rooms 18 and 19 on... Visiting Bath for a few days it's always a struggle to find a family room for four. This Edwardian Townhouse on Great Pultney Street is perfect. Just 100 yards walk to Pultney Bridge and an extra 2 minutes walk into the heart of Bath. Bath is very beautiful and historically interesting. It has all the good shops and plenty of... More

This hotel is very centrally located just over the Pultney bridge. The appearance of the hotel is a little tired and it could do with a makeover. It's a beautiful old period property on the exterir and with a bit of TLC on the interior, it could be so much more. The carpet in the bedroom needs to be changed.... More

Dear Tim Finnegan thank you for the review. The exterior of the Edgar Townhouse is a grade 1 listed Georgian Townhouse and is part of the UNESCO world heritage city plan. We are indeed centrally located in the centre of Bath. We are glad your enjoyed Room 11’s views on the top floor. The best views over the Bath recreation... More

This was a wonderful place to stay for two 60+ travelers in Bath. It is only a short walk from the city center, and also a very easy walk to and from the bus station or train station. You won't need a cab. Later, as we drove by to Stonhenge, our guide called it's street (Great Pulteney Street) the second... More

Stayed at the Edgar Townhouse for 3 nights for my wife's birthday weekend. The good points first are the location is excellent being a short walk into the centre of town, the Hotel is perfect for a short weekend break. It was spotlessly clean. We stayed with 2 other couples and we all had the basement bedrooms. Our room (No.15)... More

Great location. Lovely room. Awesome breakfast. Staff couldn't have been more friendly or helpful. Recommended! Our room had lovely high ceilings and a nice view at the back of the building up the hill. The view at the front would be equally as good as you could see the Georgian architecture of Great Pultney Street (Grade 1 listed). And I... More

The Edgar Townhouse is in a very nice area of Bath, but a very short walk into the town centre. The staff were very nice and nothing was too much trouble for them. We had a twin bedroom on the 3rd floor not suitable for anyone who can't tackle stairs. The room was small but adequate for an overnight stay.... More
