What a great location and place to stay in Bath. As first time visitors to this beautiful and historic location, we were grateful for the close proximity to everything. We were able to walk to all the sites, and were close to some great pubs and restaurants. The room was clean, and comfortable. Staff were friendly and helpful. We stayed... more

Tiny room at top of house - only fire exit down the main stairs. Shower not delivering hot water peak morning time. Poor quality breakfast. Good things: really central Bath. Pleasant welcome. Parking permit supplied. Immediate return of £10 on being told of shower inadequacy, and subsequent assurance of making good the defects, with offer of a free night's stay,... more

I stayed at the Edgar Townhouse for one night and found the location to be very good, the rooms nice (in a typical English B&B style), the staff very helpful and the breakfast ok. The only negative was that we were staying on a Saturday night and there was a lot of street noise going on throughout the night. more

Although Edgar Townhouse is not a budget accomodation it provides an excellent base from which to explore the town of Bath. Were in the downstairs room which was spacious, cool, and still had a big window to allow natural light. The staff were very friendly, kind, and helpful, and the breakfast service was fast and cooked to one's own liking... more

Stayed there for two nights in August. Had a room in the basement which was nice and cool in the humid summer weather. Clean, well run hotel. Great value for money. Breakfast fry a little greasy, but a great selection of other things to eat from the breakfast buffet. more

The staff was kind and helpful, and provided a very useful parking permit for a small fee. The room was impressive: elegant, finely furnished, with a lovely view. The bathroom facilities were clean and perfectly working. Moreover, the location is really excellent, since you can reach the center of Bath in a couple of minutes by foot. Only very minor... more

Located on Great Pulteney street, within walking distance of sights in Bath. Super "full-English" breakfast, helpful and friendly staff. Homey atmosphere. Cosy and clean room was located at the top of 73 stairs! Shower was fine. Would recommend. more

Hi all, We were really impressed with the Edgar. The decor inside is very warm and inviting. The staff stayed up late to meet and greet us and was very helpful in suggestions for things to do and showing us to our room. The bathroom was a little small but I would rather have that than share a bathroom as... more

Stayed here for a long weekend break in a twin room. Room very clean and comfortable, beds very comfortable (would have prefered a duvet) extra pillows and blankets in wardrobe. tea and coffee more than adequate and replenished daily, lovely hot shower. Breakfast options good and enjoyable( although didnt know we could have mushrooms...until we saw american couple order EVERYTHING!!)... more
