We stayed overnight at the boathouse for our anniversary weekend. We had a room with a nice size balcony, which over looked the river Avon. The room was a good size, however the furniture was a little shabby, and the bed side table on one side did not match the rest of the furniture, and also was chipped with a... More

Celebrated a colleagues birthday here on the 20th August (10 of us in our group). Sat in the wonderful conservatory over looking the river. Good service, lovely food, nice atmosphere in a great setting. Ideal for lunch.

the room was fantastic...clean and beautifully appointed with a lovely balcony area overlooking the river. It was handy to the park and ride to get into town. The nearby road was a bit noisy, and because of roadworks the entrance was hard to find. The food in the bar was great but service was very slow.

Stayed for a weekend for our wedding anniversary. We loved the place and cannot fault anything. Staff were very friendly and helpful, food very tasty and the views excellent. The park and ride bus is right on the doorstep enabling you to leave your car and go in to town and have a few drinks. Bath Abbey and the Roman... More

I stayed here for a birthday treat and it exceeded all my expectations. I'd eaten here before and loved the food and service, but staying over was a whole new experience. The balconys with river side views are an absolute must. You get the sun all day long, we just sat outside with a bottle of wine and enjoyed watching... More

Went for dinner & was very disappointed. The food was ok but service very poor, all young staff, who would stand around the bar chatting with no real interest in diners. Which you can understand as they seem to have no one in charge. We had starters then waited very long time for a sharing board of cheese & meat.... More

We were really looking forward to this hotel and found the room to be really modern and very well equipped, with a fabulous bathroom, massive comfortable bed and a great view of the bins.It was a little confusing when checking in as there was only a tiny desk at the end of the bar, although the manager was friendly and quite helpful.... Lovely building and grounds next to the river, unfortunately a bad meal. Poor fish and chips. Heavily battered fish, very overdone chips dark in colour and not very appetising, sent it back and the waitress brought out a slightly improved meal. Very disappointing. My partners opinion on the food was that it was just average. He had the lamb. So... More

The location was scenic, peaceful and tranquil. The hotel was exactly what it looks like in the pictures. It is about 4 miles from Bath, but it has a park and ride on its doorstep, it costs £2.50 return at weekends and its every 15 mins, the downside is it finishes at 8.00 at the weekend but a taxi costs... Amazing little hidden treasure, found by accident but wow... Staff very friendly and nothing too much of a problem, lovely spacious room, beautiful secluded balcony, breakfast freshly cooked and not for the feint hearted! Access to Bath brilliant with the park and rude situated next door, £3.40 return! Our room was lovely, maybe a new lick of paint would be... More
