Rating the restaurant the location is lovely but food is average at best. We had the feather steak and burger. the staff were friendly enough and the views were quiet nice but I don't think I'll be going back,

Called here yesterday afternoon for a meal. When we arrived it was heaving and we were warned there was a wait of up to an hour. But the food was well worth the wait,I had the roast lamb, and I have to say the gravy(jus if you are posh)was to die for.My only complaint was there wasn't enough of the gravy. We sat outside... Only spent one night here on route to Cornwall, but we wished we had stayed longer and will return. The staff are very friendly, room was good size, the balcony with view of the river lovely. Breakfast freshly cooked and most enjoyable. Not a cheap option but in an ideal place on the edge of the city with a Park... More

This is a lovely hotel, in a great location with friendly, hard working members of staff. Sadly though, we will not be staying here again as being woken up at 3.15am by the police hammering on the door to be let in because there was no member of staff on duty during the night does not make you want to... We have just returned from a lovely relaxing stay with 2 friends at the Boathouse Hotel,Bath. What a wonderful hotel. The location was beautiful on the banks of the River Avon. The rooms were very nice and the beds so comfortable. The staff were great and Sandra from Estonia was a delight. A real asset to the hotel. She looked... More

This was an unexpected delight as The Boathouse, tucked away on a fairly busy main road in to Bath, offers the most idyllic riverside setting for a late lunch. I'd booked the table to celebrate my Father's birthday and the setting and standard of food did not disappoint. The Sunday lunch was a very decent size and came with plenty... More

We arrived at The Boathouse having had a long journey, both tired and weary. Because we arrived at 8.30am we were told that we couldn't go to our room until after 2pm which was understandable, so we had some breakfast and took the Park and Ride facility (just down the road from the hotel) into Bath where we took not... Another place with lots of twisting corridors and "fire doors" which are a damn nuisance when you are trying to get heavy bags from your car to your room. That said, it is a very attractive place, with very nice food and friendly staff. The location is lovely, in its proximity to the river, its beautiful beer garden, and its... More

I arranged a retirement party for a friend as a surprise including a room for the night for him and his wife. The staff were very acommodating and helped spring the surprise, the meal for twelve was fantastic and we all agreed that we would really love to stay here as well. I think the secret of our fantastic evening... More

The greatest thing is for sure the big balcony approaching the river. Very peaceful and calming view. 2 drawbacks: - The beds was not the very comfortable, hard spring old bed. - The shower handle was broken, and needed fiddling in order to work, so was the poor water pressure. All together we enjoyed our stay for those who are... More
