We came to this hotel as a group of girls for one night, we knew it wouldn't be great but didn't think it would be that bad. There was no electricity when we got there, not the hotels fault but still not great. It's dated, broken, (literally everything in the hotel is broken or wonky) very tired and very smelly.... More

Having read the reviews of previous travellers I was apprehensive about our 1 night stay at this hotel, this was part of my wife's birthday treat along with the panto and meal. The fact that it was in a good location and had car parking let 'my heart rule my head' in ignoring the previous reviews and making the booking.... More

Thank god was only staying for one night, the bed was hard and lumpy, the carpet was stained. The room was in need of a major update and clean. In such a great location, could be a little gem. More

We were only staying here for 1 night so the cost played a factor in our choice. The room was large, although a little dated and in need of a lick of paint and modernisation. However the bathroom was tiny, and full of problems. The toilet took 1 hour to drain after each flush. The shower only worked with cold... More

Well, I stayed in room 108 and I have to say it has seen better days! You can't fill the kettle from the tap, it's true, but since the only power point that worked meant disconnecting the heater I decided not to bother. This is very peculiar. All the desk staff were charming and friendly, but why do they work... More

This was a 2 night weekend trip to enjoy the Christmas markets. The hotel is central and the shower worked but these are the only positives. The receptionist was rude but this was trumped by a cold room that smelt of damp and black mould (which was evident on the wall paper). Curtains falling off the rail, holes where shelves... More

Excellent location, staff and breakfast OK - that's the positives taken care of. However, the rooms were tired, uncomfortable, need a lot of maintenance with things loose or not working properly (or at all), and the car park (of sorts) is a total nightmare - I pity the poor staff who suffer the frustration of frustrated customers venting about it... We stayed for one night, at the end of November. We only chose this hotel as it was the cheapest option, so we weren't expecting great things! It was a place to kip for the night which was all that mattered to us really. But considering we paid £80.00 for a bed for the night we were a bit miffed.... More

The photos on the website are extremely misleading. Suggesting an elegant luxurious hotel. The decor and furniture in the rooms are old and worn. Bed was broken. bathroom tiny. Floors uneven to the point that cups were sliding off the table. However the cleaner, although behind by 1.5 hrs meaning we had to wait in the corridor for 20 mins,... More
