The toilet didn't flush. On reporting I was told to flush it harder. On leaving I was told that no one else had complained so they wouldn't be checking it. Bedroom had large window onto roof that you could climb through - no lock on it so anyone could get in Bed lumpy and clearly in need of new mattress... More

A great location, but, a terrible hotel. The room had torn curtains, worn carpet and a terribly uncomfortable bed. The bathroom was kind of gross. There appeared to be mold on a box built to hide some plumbing around the toilet. The bath tub had large chips in the porcelain. The floor in the room sloped badly and the bed... More

This hotel was one of the worst I have stayed in. The room was grubby, hot and shabby. The bathroom was tiny but the shower did work. The bed was awful...old squeaky lumpy mattress that I could feel all the springs, all night. No air conditioning, although a fan was found in the wardrobe. There is no food provided...not even... The location of this hotel in Bath is brilliant - just a few hundred metres from Pultney Bridge. The hotel itself is tired, uncomfortable, and in the last stages of transition from budget to backpacker. I could not fault the staff, but they played little role in my stay. The hot, stuffy room and aged, creaking bed were major contributors... More

There was absolutely nothing redeeming about this 'hotel' - with the exception of the convenient location. Where does one start? The poor state of the room: dirty, mould, mattress that needs to be dumped, filth and grease on walls and doors - then the unacceptable attitude of the staff when problems were addressed, clueless about customer service and extremely arrogant... Our stay was not the best. The reception clerk was a little rude, the tv in the room didn't work, we had a horrible nights sleep because there was no air conditioning or fan, and the shower was clogged with hair, and no no wifi is available. Wouldn't recommend.

Really tired hotel! All the bathroom tiles was broken, and the bed was awful. Only positive was the position in the town. Short way to everything! Positive: really tight parkingspace in the back. Will not come back!

I booked this place online through hotels.com there's limited parking first come first served type of booking. Ended up with a four poster bed, not the best bed ever but room was comfortable, ensuite available. Wouldn't use again because of parking, I had to leave m car out of view on the street.

I stayed for two nights in this hotel in June 2014. The reception clerk was most helpful, even parking my car in the only (tight) space left. My single room was small but quite adequate. The shower room/toilet was spotless. I had clean towels both days. Its central position was a bonus and the spacious and comfortable lounge bar very... More

This hotel was a pleasure to stay in. I stayed here with my 2 children in October 2012. It's close walking distance to the city attractions and restaurants made this a great place to stay. It has a great lounge to unwind in with a nice drink after a day of sightseeing. The rooms are beautiful with nice high Georgian... More
