An absolutely splendid hotel, with superb, attentive professionals running it. The room was as described, very clean and a very comfortable bed. I can't say a bad word about our visit. Also the breakfast is awesome, a must visit.

I stayed for 2 nights in August with my teenage daughter. The hotel was very welcoming and had that extra special personal touch. Very knowledgeable staff, when we arrived we were asked what we wanted to do during our stay and given all the information we required to make sure everything went smoothly. On the second night my daughter wasn't... More

I stayed at this fine hotel found the actual building and rooms an absalute joy.. The room I had was the last on offer on booking and half expected the lower grade room but it was beautiful.. Views from the bed of rolling country hills. The staff were very polite and helpful. I would recommend this hotel as I would... More

I stayed for 2 nights, in the waterloo room, and I was very happy with the size of the room, that had a nice view of Bath's environs and also good sun light during the afternoon - bathroom was really great, with good space, separate bath and shower and also good/ fancy bath amenities. As mentioned in past comments, the... More

We arrived late one evening, only a few minutes before the reception closed, moreover, we had not booked any rooms. The man at reception was very, very nice and helpful. He fixed room, booked a table at a restaurant and got a taxi so we got there. The hotel is fantastic and the staff is very friendly. Good breakfast with... More

TA correspondence know a thing or two and it is clear to see why Apsley House is #1 in Bath. This place is not a boutique hotel , it is not a B&B , it is itself. And it is excellent. You do not have a restaurant , but Bath is loaded with choice and a taxi ride costs £7... More

We had a short stay to revisit Bath. The reception we received when we arrived was brilliant. Information was provided to ensure we knew how to find our way around Bath when we went out. Although a little way out of the centre this should not be a put off as access via bus or park and ride is very... More

We love individuality and intimacy over pomp and grandeur, so tend to favour small boutique hotels and higher end B&Bs. With this in mind, I chose Apsley House for a short break during which to pop the question. It was a wonderful stay. The staff are attentive, rooms beautiful- ours was the 'Romantic' room with four-poster bed, slipper bath and... More

We recently stayed at Apsley House during our trip to Bath. We stayed in the lower basement room with a lovely four poster bed and private stairs that lead onto the lawn. The room was lovely and very comfortable...until we realized we were directly under the breakfast room early the next morning. We were still adjusting to the time change... More

An imposing Georgian country house with all the features you'd expect of it and perfectly decorated to period. Our room was the Mornington, the garden basement room directly below the restaurant, previously the house kitchen. On entering you are wowed with the rich shades of terracotta and burgundy of the Dupion silk curtains, frills and velvet cushions that adorn the... More
