Stayed here last week, beautiful room with a very comfortable bed, a Hugh old fashioned roll top bath. The breakfast was of a very high standard, we travel a lot and this is one of the best. All together a good place

I don't understand any of the negative reviews about the carriage house on this property. Yes, you can hear people walking upstairs, but its not like they're running around the halls and it isn't until all hours of the night. After a week of hotel rooms this place was charming, comfortable, clean and best of all RELAXING! You had room... More

We stayed at Apsley House for three nights, while visiting the Bath area. We had a room on the upper floor, overlooking the backyard and hills. The room was well maintained and clean. We enjoyed the breakfasts, as well. Staff was very helpful in respect to dining suggestions. The location is very convenient for day car trips to Wells Cathedral,... More

Historic residence converted to up-market B&B. We stayed in Wellington room, very large and beautifully appointed. There is a lovely guest sitting room on ground floor where you can have a drink from the bar (you sign a chit and pay when you leave) and look over the beautiful garden. The house is on the outskirts of Bath but there... More

My wife and I stayed for 3 nights in the Wellington Suite. Very well appointed room with great views over Bath. Hotel is charming, breakfast set up very good. Staff all very attentive If you don't mind a walk into town this is the place for you. Nice stroll down through park and Royal Crescent / Circle

We had an enjoyable 3 night stay at this elegant hotel for my birthday. We had the Beau room which is accessed by the garden at the back of the hotel. The room is dominated by a huge 4 poster bed and furnished in 'shabby chic' style and has a huge roll top bath with a hand held shower. I... More

This is a lovely hotel which I would recommend to anyone as the perfect place to stay for a visit to Bath. Good for anyone like us who are interested in history and heritage, the house was built by the Duke of Wellington and is beautiful and elegant but comfortable and very easy to relax in. The staff are welcoming... More

A wonderful place to stay. Their friendly and courteous service could not be faulted. Attention to detail was clearly in evidence. Only breakfast was served but it was outstanding easily on a par with the Mayfair hotel we used.

My husband and I travelled to Bath for a 2 day break from the London crowds. Upon entering we felt like royalty. The owners/staff were helpful and welcoming. The place is beautiful, the facilities luxurious, and the breakfast was heavenly. We stayed in the Wellington Room. The view was pastoral and peaceful.
