My partner and I stayed for one night and wish it could have been more. We were welcomed warmly, given an informative tour of the all the public areas and shown to our room on the lower ground floor, in what was at one time the kitchen of the house. The decor is beautiful, the property is spotlessly clean, the... More

Visiting Bath for an exhibition we stayed here - a last minute booking. We arrived way to early at 1130am knowing check in was mid afternoon. No problem. Our suite was ready and we could move in. Lovely female receptionist/ manager wouldn't even allow me to carry our light suitcases (how embarrassing!). Plenty of information on things to do in... More

It is our 2nd visit to Apsley and as before felt most welcome. We occupied the Wellington room this time and had a most pleasant stay. Their breakfasts are exceptional but most of all the staff genuinely care.

We travel all over the world and wherever we stay, we are always on the lookout for something different. Apsley House did that for us. We were there for a couple of nights with a few days in between while we went off on business. Both stays were excellent. Same room, very comfortable bed and a delicious breakfast and world... More

Away on a relaxing break we booked the Queen's room. The staff were superb from start to finish. As we arrived we were shown around the bar and the kitchen area and within minutes our bags were in the room. As we arrived late and didn't want to go out we ordered a takeaway and without asking for it the... More

Everything was so professional from the minute we arrived. The welcome, the luggage taken up to the "Waterloo" bedroom and the directions to the bus stop, times of buses and what to visit in Bath. The welcome was warm and so was the hotel during a cold weekend. The room was perfect - everything worked and the water was really... More

My girlfriend and I were made most welcome by the very friendly staff. They were extremely helpful and polite. The room was a beautifully decorated room and the bathroom magnificent. The hotel itself was a mere 5 minutes drive to the City centre or 10mins by bus which picks you up across the road from the hotel so travel is... More

Enjoyed a quick stay at Apsley House. The room was lovely and interesting. The dining room where we had breakfast was charming, looking out in the garden where roses still bloomed in December. The food was delicious, with eggs cooked to order. The staff accommodated our late arrival and was thoroughly kind and helpful.

Extremely impressed and absolutely loved every part of our stay! Kate and Miro couldn't have been more helpful and lovely. The house is amazing and you can feel its wonderful history whilst being so clean and modern. Breakfast was just as good as a five star hotel in my opinion. Great view from our room and such a comfortable stay.... More

Originally a private house owned by The Duke of Wellington supposedly for his mistress. A variety of tastefully decorated & comfy rooms. Nicely appointed lounge with honesty bar. A decent breakfast. Overlooks a small attractive garden with views beyond. Nothing but praise for the attentive and friendly staff. Highly recommended.
