We have just returned from a very enjoyable two night break in Bath and stayed at the Apsley House Hotel. what a fantastic hotel, the ambience, accommodation and breakfast was first class nothing was too much trouble all of the staff were very very helpful and willingly suggested eating places. We shall certainly reccommend this hotel to our friends and... More

I had previously stayed at this hotel about 15 years ago and it was exceptional. So I checked the recent reviews and thought I would book the Coach House and take the family (August 2014). The Hotel still looks very nice and we were pleasantly greeted when we arrived at the Apsley House. The Coach House though is slightly grubby... More

The Aspley House Hotel deserves its title as one of the best in the entire UK! I booked it for a couple of nights in early september for a mini honeymoon as i could not get a week off from work. We came the night after our wedding and brought all our presents and cards to unwrap! The room was... More

Stayed here for one night in the Salamanca room at the rear on the second floor; beautifully decorated, spacious room and bathroom with everything you need. Wonderful views over the valley below. We were able to check-in early and then walked into the city centre via Victoria Park and the Royal Crescent - this took 30-40 minutes. Going back late... More

The Apsley deserves to be number 1 in Bath, and worth paying the premium for. Staff are all very friendly and knowledgeable about the local area. The hotel is within walking distance of the city centre - but it is a a good 40 minute trek, so perhaps not suitable for the less mobile! Free parking is a bonus in... More

I would definitely stay here again. The staff were very friendly and helpful . The attention to detail in all areas of the hotel was excellent and the breakfasts were delicious . We enjoyed a morning stroll into Bath via Victoria Park and came out at the Crescent. At night we took a short taxi ride into town at night,... More

Beautiful B&B, however unless you really like to walk... including uphill, you do need a car! Unfortunately, we did not have one... So it cost us 8 pounds plus a tip... To go back and forth to the town center. If you like to walk it is about a 30 min walk (at least that's what the B&B managers indicated).... More

I chose this hotel based on trip advisor reviews for our wedding anniversary. It did not disappoint .A good location, a long walk or cab into the main centre. However the decor and extra details made this a very good stay. Very nicely decorated with great furnishings.Very clean and the staff were smiley and helpful. The room was spacious, the... More
