Everything was absolutely perfect. Warm welcome, brief introduction, fantastic room, clean crisp bed, warm and relaxing bathroom, lovely molton brown goodies, huge four poster bed, great views, superb breakfast.......need i say more? The location of the hotel is great, only 10 minute walk into town, however there is a steep hill so be warned and and the subway may look... more

Apsley House is set in a beautiful yet convenient location, both for Bath City Centre and for the West Country. The grounds are well kept and have views over the valley. But once inside this traditional stone built house the quality really shows. The management team treat each guest as individuals and genuinely seek to make each stay special. We... more

We selected this hotel, based on the advice on this website, for a two night honeymoon stay - and we weren't disappointed. The room was lovely, the bathroom perfect and the service spot on. The staff were very helpful and pleasant. The dining room is very attractive with nice views over the garden. The breakfasts are good too. The only... more

This was a special birthday trip for me and there was 6 in the party. We booked the coach house and a room which was excellent value and service was very friendly. The breakfasts were delicious, they provided a breakfast pack for the coach house and there was plenty there. The only negative things we would say was the shower was... more

This was a beatiful hotel and was absolutely perfect. We stayed in the garden room (number 12) on the ground floor and we had a four poster bed. The room was romantic, beatifully furnished and the bed was delightful. The bathroom was cleaned to perfection and had lovely white towels and Molton Brown toiletries. Breakfast was cooked to order, tasted... more

There is something so right about Apsley house that we wouldn't wish to stay anywhere else. more

Having been in correspondence with the Hotel a month beforehand about organising champagne since it was an anniversary visit, I was impressed to find I didn't even need to mention it when I arrived. As soon as I walked in, I was greeted by name (!), admittedly I was probably the last guest to check-in as time was getting on... more

From enquiring about availability at Apsley House I was happy to receive a speedy, friendly response. Claire was so helpful and informative and I felt their main aim was to please! We stayed for 2 nights in the "Romantic" room, which was super. The bed was extremely comfortable and the furnishings were divine. The shower was amazing and I love... more

If you are looking for a friendly, comfortable small hotel near the centre of Bath then Apsley House is for you. We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights, the first 2 nights in the Wellington Room and the last night in the self contained coach house. The breakfasts were excellent and cooked to order. The view from the back... more

FANTASTIC hotel. The hosts make you feel like you're part of the family. Absolutely SUPERB service. My wife and I stayed six nights in May; my parents were there at the same time in a different room. We absolutely loved it. If you don't mind stairs, ask for the top floor room in the back of the hotel it's either... more
