Having been impressed by the reviews we decided to opt for Apsley House for our one night stay in Bath. We were not disappointed. We had the lovely 'Champagne Room' which was very comfortable and beautifully decorated. The bathroom was lovely with up to the minute fittings and a nice range of top brand toiletries. Breakfast was all it should... More

My husband and I stayed here for a short break. We stayed in the Copenhagen which is located in the basement and is a beautiful room. The bed was huge and comfortable and I loved the slipper bath in the bathroom. There was an excellent range of tea/coffee/hot chocolate and also drinking water available, a good selection of current magazines... More

My husband and I stayed here for a long weekend to celebrate our 25th Wedding Anniversary. We stayed in the Mornington and loved it. The bed was huge and very comfortable, we loved the slipper bath in the bathroom. Breakfast was something else, the choice was immense all of which sounded delicious. On the first morning I had smoked Salmon... More

I booked the 'Beau' suite for two nights to celebrate my wedding anniversary and was not disappointed. The room is accessed by the back garden and is under the hotel. Obviously we didn’t have a view but it didn't matter because the room was so clean, beautiful and cosy. Also, we had our own front door accessed via the rear... More

I always read the reviews before booking, but I never post any myself. On this occasion however, I feel that special praise must be given to all the wonderful staff – Miro, Kate, Kinga, Sara – thank you all so much for such a wonderful stay! The house is beautiful, bedroom was well-furnished and luxurious, and the breakfast is to... More

My friend and I stayed here for three nights and from the moment we stepped in the door the staff were superb! Nothing was too much trouble and they always made conversation. The Waterloo room was just divine and breakfasts were superb! The peace and tranquility we enjoyed here was just a short bus journey away from the town centre.... More

My partner and I stayed at this wonderful luxury hotel for a two night visit. We requested when booking the Wellington room which was a large, well lit room on the top floor. It had a great bathroom plus we also enjoyed lovely views from the large windows. All the staff were great and nothing was too much trouble for... More

Not much to say except a luxury hotel at mid range prices. Staff were superb and helpful, the room spacious with a large bathroom containing a shower and a claw foot bathtub which the missus thoroughly enjoyed. The beds were comfy and our room looked out across the valley with a gorgeous view. It is out of the way but... More

My partner and I enjoyed a lovely stay at Apsley house in September. Bath is an expensive place to stay but choosing this hotel about a mile from the center helps with the cost. The standard of the Hotel is very high, beautifully decorated creating a by gone Georgian elegance. The staff are extremely helpful and very obliging offering advice... More

Our stay at Apsley House Hotel was outstanding. The staff was excellent, we especially want to thank Kate. She was so charming, helpful, and made our stay wonderful and comfortable. She arranged taxis, helped with our luggage, as someone else has mentioned nothing was too much trouble for this staff. The breakfast was delicious and your view from your table... More
