A five-day, four-night stay in Bath with a group of 16 of my adult French students learning English and my first experience of a YMCA - what a way to start! The welcome from Steve (Steven with a 'v') was very warm and comprehensive, the rooms spacious and very clean and the communal areas light and airy. Our rooms ranged... More

I stayed here for two nights in a private room. It was clean and comfortable. The location was great and the staff were friendly. Breakfast was great. Wished wifi was available throughout the building, not just the lounge, but this seemed to be a common issue with hostels in England. I'd stay again and recommend to other travellers.

I stayed two nights in YMCA Bath: one night in a single bedroom and the other with my 3 friends in a 4 beds room. In general, the hostel was good. +: The beds were really confortable, the shower are clean, the breakfast is good (toast, cereal, coffee) and it's not too far from the train station (10-15 minutes of... Location is great. Rooms are as standard. Showers are good with plenty of room to get ready in. Nice lounge area with tv. Especially good when you arrive with 50+ to check in. Staff are quick and helpful with queries. Breakfast is okay. wifi is very slow

Hard to find, as you have to go up a twitten from one of the roads on either side. But a lovely modern purpose-built building, with very friendly and helpful staff, nice and cosy in the wintertime and handy for seeing the town. It was buzzing with guests the weekend I was there. Rooms are small but have washbasins and... More

Many people leave reviews for Bath YMCA and say it was expensive. Yes, it is expensive, but it is also very cheap by Bath standards. If you plan to come to Bath, plan to spend a bit more, so you don't have to complain later. I found this good value for money, with helpful staff, comfortable rooms and clean bathrooms.... More

Slightly disappointing experience since it costs so much per night. The showers are tiny but I found temperature control ok. Everything extra like towels and laundry are overpriced, there is even a baggage storage charge. The breakfast was very disappointing, with stale cereal and sour milk. The internet connection in the lobby is really slow and that's the only place... More

We stayed here for 3 nights in between Christmas and New Years. The location was within walking distance of everything, though not right in the centre of the small city of Bath. The YMCA provided breakfast and wifi, and the common room down the bottom of the building had a TV and also some vending machines, all in all the... More

Whilst a little hard to find and quite a trek from the train station (albeit was raining when I arrived) I found this hostel quite comfortable, with friendly staff. Room was basic with shared, very clean facilities. Has a gymnasium downstairs for those who want it. The quaint, little village of Bath is well worth a visit, with plenty to... More

We stayed here for two nights. Definitely appreciate the location, but bring your earplugs. Noisy groups of teenagers roamed the halls to make chitchat well into the night. The rooms are what you would expect in a hostel; basic and clean. The beds were fine. The bathrooms were clean. The lobby WiFi was slow to non-functional during our stay. Some... More
