Have just returned from a romantic break with my partner for which we had originally booked two nights in the supposedly "deluxe" Pulteney Room. For the benefit of the owners/managers of the Ayrlington, this is what any reasonable consumer would NOT expect to get when they are paying £200 a night. A mock four poster bed that is lumpy and... more

We recently had a comfortable stay at the Ayrlington in Bath. We stayed in the Sienna room at the front of the house, a bit noisy if you want the windows open. The room was large, the bed was OK, the bathroom was very small and reasonably clean, and there was very little cupboard space, not a problem for us... more

This is a copy of the email I sent to the proprietors of this excellent hotel!! Hello there, I've used the Ayrlington this last weekend, 5-8 of September and would like to say a big Thank You! To everyone involved. From the moment we arrived to the minute we left the hotel all members of staff were extremely warm and... more

The Ayrlington in Bath England stands out because of it's beauty and grace. Upon our arrival we were greeted by Audrey and although we were there before check in time she had our suitcases put in a safe place, offered us a gorgeous room to sit down in (have a rest please) and then brought us tea and biscuits. It... more

This is the best B&B we have ever stayed at. We have been there 6 times. We have tried 4 different rooms and all were fantastic. Even roadside rooms are quiet. Everything is fresh and clean...and breakfast is delicious more

We have just returned from a 2 night stay at the Ayrlington. We were a family group and found rooms for all tastes. We booked the Empire room, very comfortable with it's four poster and our son took Carnation, simple but perfect. Both rooms had great views. The staff were very helpful and the overall feel of the hotel very calm.... more

We had a 2 night stay at this hotel on our weeks tour round. Working for a coach company you can spend so much time in your room and having a little luxury makes a change. We booked the Zen room which was on the ground floor with its own access. We were greated by a pleasant lady on reception... more

Warm, welcoming and unpretentious. The staff were friendly and helpful, the room (I stayed in the Rose room) very comfortable and clean, decorated and furnished in a traditional English style with a quirky Chinese twist. The hotel is peaceful but only a very short stroll from the city centre - and with car parking which is very unusual for Bath!... more

The Ayrlington Hotel (5* ) is a lovely Georgian house on the Pultney Road leading into Bath and we were delighted with it. The staff were friendly and accommodating and the setting peaceful, tranquil and graceful. Beautiful gardens, with a strong oriental look/feel. The hotel also has that oriental feel with beautiful pieces of furniture and artifacts. Our room was... more

I stayed in the Ayrlington for 3 nights with my mother in mid-July. The hotel is only about ten minutes walk from the centre of town. We stayed in the Carnation room, which is the smallest room in the hotel and the only twin, but is very well laid out to make most of the space. The room and ensuite... more
