Peter, the owner of the Marlbourough House made our experience in Bath very delightful. We were already booked with another B&B in town that was not working out. Peter accommodated us with a room, juggled his schedule to help us get settled in at the last moment. One morning we had to leave earlier than breakfast hours and he prepared... More

I can't really fault Marlborough House......seriously good B&B. Any fault would be nitpicking.......even the included brekky was awesome (best mushroom omelette I've ever had). We stayed three nights and managed to see all the sights. Our car was given a free parking permit (street) for our stay which was a bonus. Great staff, superb room, comfy bed, aircon, free wifi,... We have spent one night in the Bamboo room at Marlborough House this year. I was amazed how perfect and with how much care the house had been decorated. Stylish and very cosy. The room and ensuite bathroom were spacious and clean and I just loved the Oriental decoration. It was a pleasant surprise to find organic toiletries in the... More

What a wonderful place to stay. Beautiful rooms, a quiet sleep and an excellent breakfast the next morning to round up the stay. The proprietor Peter and his two breakfast angels can't do enough for their guests. So welcoming, friendly, accommodating and helpful - and lovely to talk with too. Peter even reserved us one of the scarce parking spaces... More

Peter was absolutely overflowing with helpful information. Where to eat (including a brochure with discounts, be sure to get one and the ID card from him), things to see, places to walk. He managed to fit the four of us (two adult daughters) into one very large room on the second floor, which kept the cost down. Breakfast was an... More

We stayed at Marlborough House for two nights back in March. It was recommended to us by the Tourist Information centre in Bath. We are so glad that we decided to stay there it was like a home away from home. Very comfortable and clean. The girls, Sarah and Lilly were excellent. The locality to the city centre was well... Sarah and Lily were excellent hostesses! They went out of their way to ensure our stay was excellent and made us feel extremely welcome! The room was fine but a bit noisy since it was on the street side. Large bathroom. Breakfasts were very good. Peter, the owner, was on vacation, but Sarah and Lily were fantastic substitutes! We really... More

We arrived fairly late on a Friday evening after work, Pete was expecting us and gave us a really good talk about Bath and the surrounding area. He gave us a map and lots of restaurant suggestions (the two of which we tried were very good!). He showed us to our room and talked through a few things, although, I... More

We booked this place quite last minute and were pleased we did! The room was very nice and the sherry was a nice touch. A reasonably priced mini fridge although we did not use it. The organic bath products were good and we enjoyed two very peaceful nights sleep. Lily, Sarah and Chloe (hope I remembered the names correctly!) were... More

From making our booking through to leaving the b&b Sarah could not have been more helpful! The breakfast was by far the best we have had, and this is coming from 2 non vegetarians!! Room was comfortable, clean and allowed for a good nights sleep. Location is great, just short walk into the centre of Bath. Thank you Sarah for... More
