Ho hum....another business trip requiring an overnight stay. Search on line. Gosh Bath is expensive - must be all those American tourists pushing up prices. But wait a minute, Oldfields is cheaper and very conveniently located AND I can park my car there. Oldfields has impeccable decor. The owner greated me and showed me to my room after first offering... More

Had a two night stay with a friend so we could go to the Thermae spa and shop. The staff are so friendly and helpful and greet you with a cup of tea. Had rooms at the top of the house but the only issue I had with that was it was a warm weekend and you needed either the... More

Stayed for one night but wish it had been for longer. Such a friendly welcome, a beautiful room and good quality full English!! I have high standards and this hotel exceeded all of them. The parking is fine, I was worried it would be tight based on other reviews but it's fine if everyone parks properly. I am definitely coming... More

Although its a lovely Hotel providing Hearty Breakfasts, Clean Rooms & Friendly Service, the uphill hike from Bath is not for the faint hearted and poses a real challenge at the end of a day touring the town on foot! On-site Parking is also an issue, as its very compact and the Entrance to it could prove difficult as its... More

We stayed here for 2 nights with our 2 youngest children. I don't think many guests stay here with children but all the staff made us feel very welcome from the moment we walked through the door. I think the staff here make the difference as they all have a genuinely helpful approach to everything. I'm sure that nothin would... More

I normally choose travelodge for price, convenience etc, however given the prices in Bath I decided to push the boat out, spend an extra £10 per night and go to Oldfields. Definitely the right decision! My room was a single, at the top of the house and surprisingly generous in size. I am 5'10" and I coped perfectly well with... More

This location is excellent for visiting Bath and surroundings; only 10 minutes walk downhill to city center breakfast is great; wifi worked very well in the room; steep steps up to second floor for elderly people not to be recommended; small parking court is a real challenge

My sister and I shared a twin room, staying the one night to visit the city and go to my niece's university exhibition with another couple of freinds, also staying at the hotel. We enjoyed a friendly helpful welcome (including booking a taxi for us). Pretty room with beautiful soft furnishings (extremely comfortable beds) and clean shower room with top... More

We had a great one-night stay at this inn... it was lovely. Parking was a little tight, but we did have a spot, so I'm not complaining! Our room was perfection - a little room at the top of the stairs with a beautiful view! The bathroom was clean and comfy, and breakfast was delicious - a full English breakfast,... More

Oldfields House gave us the most wonderful honeymoon stay. We spent a week here after our wedding and could not have imagined a more romantic and enjoyable way to spend our honeymoon. The staff were exceptionally friendly, and highly helpful. One morning they offered to reserve the breakfast table we had our eye on, and another morning, when we had... More
