This hotel's location is excellent. We arrived early and could park our car (in the hotel's carpark). Room was spacious. The only down side was the breakfast. Got our orders wrong, twice. more

Our room on an upper level was nicely furnished, clean and wonderfully spacious (even the bathroom was large) Furthermore we were treated to comfortable beds and next-to-little noise interruptions. We found the service lacking in a few areas. Firstly, we arrived for dinner at 6:50pm and were told by the waitress to 'hurry up' with our order... Earlier we had... more

Second time we've stayed here-great location for city, beautiful building, fabulous breakfast and lovely staff. Creaky floors (which of course one should expect from a house of this age) which disturbed our sleep. Check the location of the room-this time ours was not as good as last time-at the back on a lower floor which was disappointing as we paid... more

A good hotel although not cheap. We paid £365 for 3 nights, including a camp bed for our 4-year-old son. I was on business but it was a good base for my wife and son to explore Bath, being on the quiet and elegant Great Pulteney Street. Breakfast was excellent; the head waiter was an intriguing mix of Basil Faultey... more

Ok I found that the Traditional English breakfast was cooked in oil (and not fat as they should be cooked) and that's the only fault I could find! Everything else was just great, location, staff, room, cleanliness. If I wanted to show a friend from abroad England at its best, and experience what England is, then I would book them... more

A great hotel - walking distance to Bath Spa train station - unless you have a huge bag - like me. Even on wheels, I took a cab (5 GBS) - cabs were waiting at the train station. It's on a grand street that reminds you of the set in Oliver! (movie) when they sing Who Will Buy. Hotel front... more

Hotel was easy to find, right on Great Pulteney Street. The decor is simple and nothing special but the hotel's location is perfect for seeing all of Bath. Within walking distance to everything. The free parking in the back of the hotel is a huge bonus and the English breakfast included in the room rate (normally unheard of in England)... more

This is a great value hotel in a great location for all the amenities of Bath. There is the bonus of car parking at the rear of the hotel as well. Our room was roomy, recntly decorated and the bathroom was huge! The staff were very friendly , helpful, and the breakfast was first rate. more

An excellently located hotel to explore the centre of Bath. It also has a car park taking 11 cars plus additional parking permits. We had basic rooms on the top of the hotel which were clean and comfortable. The lift is quite antiquated so use the stairs whenever possible. Breakfast was fine and made using organic ingredients and the staff... more

At 9.50pm I discovered that the bed had been made up without any pillowcases on the pillows. It took 40 minutes for any to be delivered. The breakfast menu listed local cheeses but none was on display on the buffet. I asked for some and was shown a plate of stale-looking fragments (mostly rind!) - so decided to have jam... more
