On my arrival with several pieces of luggage told that my room wouldn't be ready til 3, and it wasn't company policy to be able to leave it anywhere . Faced with going to a formal event that afternoon with luggage in tow, and carrying it around it the city, I paid up for 'early checkin'. Then my room waas... More

We have stayed here several times as it is handy for the rail station and quite central for walking into the City Centre. Walk takes about 15 minutes alongside the river. If there is a slight downside, when we went to eat in the bar area, there were still dirty glasses on tables from lunchtime

Does what it says on the tin. Perfect location, nice staff, good food and clean rooms. Can't really fault it and for £32 per night... Parking is £5 per day which is a bit naughty unless you are disabled and it's free otherwise great. Why do I have to keep writing?

We stayed in room 200 which had a nice view. Staff were very pleasent. when we arrived it was boiling because the heating was left on - surely this costs a lot. Room absolutely stunk of B.O - cleaners should have opened windows when last guest left. Nice comfy beds and good location. Staff took asked for my surname upon... More

Stayed at this Travelodge for one night while visiting the Christmas Market. It is located on the other side of the river from the bus and rail stations, just cross the footbridge from the railway station, turn left and it on the left behind the canal lock (side entrance over the bridge by the lock). The city centre with shops,... More

Me and the better half stayed here mid week, booked this as it stated is only a short distance to the city centre and they are not joking. Lovely gentle walk along side the canal accross a bridge through a railway arch and you're there. Was concerned about parking due to close location to centre but no issues arrived about... More

This hotel is ideally located. You can easily walk from the city centre and the train station. There is a back pedestrian entrance which is easy to access the hotel and the river walk is lovely. The hotel is great for its price and type. The breakfast is very good and a great selection to cover everyones needs. The staff... More
