We arrived at 2.30 pm. Given keys to a very small room!..we returned to reception and asked for larger room. The room they offered was larger, but only because it had a shower and no bath which was no good for my partner.so back to cramped room!.. We were very disappointed with the sparse evening menu..so we enquired if we could... More

This historic hotel is located directly across from the Bath train and bus stations, which is the perfect jumping off spot for exploring this beautiful city. I stayed in room 102, which is a lovely warm & quiet single room. This room is located on a semi-private hallway and has the view of the roof planters. The room is small,... More

Many thanks for your review following your recent stay with us. I am delighted that you found everything so much to your liking with the exception of what you describe as “spotty internet”. I am surprised to read this comment as we normally have excellent (free) WiFi throughout the hotel and I can only assume that on this particular occasion,... More

The hotel is opposite the railway station, easy walking distance from key attractions, such as the river, Pulteney Bridge and the Theatre Royal. The walls are a bit thin, so if you have noisy neighbours you won't get a lot of sleep, but everything else about the place is good - the staff are all wonderful, the beer's good and... More

Loved this hotel. Tiny, tiny room, but so comfy... Large bathroom and bathtub! Very clean. The front desk staff were friendly and happy. Be sure to take the little lift up at least once, I called it the "coffin lift"...so small. Amazing breakfast included, BUT this is where things went so wrong...and I wasn't able to enjoy my second breakfast... More

We spent 5 nights here recently. We were in room 303 and were very happy with it. I should mention that the floor boards were a bit creaky. It didn't bother us but I hope the people underneath weren't disturbed. The bathroom had obviously been refurbished recently and the whole room was immaculately clean. The bed was very comfortable and... More

Great accommodations plus an excellent location for exploring Bath. The rooms were quiet and comfortable and the hotel provided an excellent dining room and bar. Being next door to the train station is a significant plus for travelers arriving and departing via Brit Rail.

Wow! What a great place to stay. The was bright and spacious, only slightly marred by the coaches stopping outside. The en-suite again was clean and modern, with thankfully a hot shower rather than a warm drizzle experienced from many other hotels. There is an adjoined restaurant which offers an amazing selection. Would I recommend it? Yes, and I'll be... More

I only stayed for one night but was so impressed with the hotel. I had a single room and was expecting some pokey room for a solo guest but no the room was great and even though was opposite the train station it was really quiet at night and I had a great nights sleep in a very comfortable bed,... Spent 3 nights at this hotel, nothing was too much trouble for the staff. Breakfast was buffet style for cold food but cooked to order for hot food, all of good quality. Bar snack at lunchtime was equally good. Would stay here again.
