I stayed for just 1 night in a twin room on the second floor, the room was small but lovely and very clean, the bathroom again small with a shower was fine for us. The room overlooked the street and the railway station was across the road it was double glazed but we needed the window open as it was... More

I have recently stayed in this hotel with my friend for a weekend away. What a fantastic experience! The staff were lovely, especially Emilie on the front desk! The location on the hotel is fantastic, so near to all of the sights in bath and is so easy to get to. Our room was beautiful and big, with a lovely bathroom.... More

Visiting the UK from NZ, I decided on a spontaneous trip to Bath and on arrival from the railway station spotted The Royal Hotel across the road. Not only did they offer me a great rate for a room, they accommodated my request for a noon check in. The room was elegant and spacious with a fabulous bath; perfect for... More

I stayed five nights in June during some warm weather. Luckily my little room (205) had a big fan, so I was comfortable. The shower was good, and there was no street noise. Yes, the floors squeak and I could occasionally hear the people move around in the next room. Luckily we were all early risers. The French press coffee... More

Had a really lovely stay here. Staff friendly and accomodating from booking to check out. The room clean and nice with great coffee. Though very hot in the rooms they do have a fan but it was very noisy couldnt really have windows open due to the street noise. even with ear plugs (and closed windows) I was woken up... More

This hotel is a real gem in the heart of Bath. If you want old fashioned England with all the mod cons come here! The service was friendly, and highly efficient. My only slight issue was the heat of the rooms but management were excellent at providing an additional fan. Although I do feel that changing the window boxes and... More

Thank you for taking the time and trouble to post this review and I am delighted that you enjoyed your stay with us. There is not excuse, of course, for flower petals all over the floor and please accept my apologies for this lack of attention to detail by our staff on this occasion. We only stayed for one night as a little treat. Lovely hotel and friendly staff, no problems at all. Four poster bed was great and appropriately decorated hotel. Only thing was how hot our room was. We had an air con unit but this wasn't working properly. Every so often there was a bang and it would then blow out... More

it was so near to the Rail station, so i'm glad that i've booked it. there was lift to go upstairs, no worry, when compared with some other hotels in UK. there are different choices for breakfast, which i was very satisfied, not just toasts / eggs... the bathroom was quite newly furbished, one thing i don't like, the wooden... Thank you for your review I am very pleased that you enjoyed your stay with us. With regards to the “noisy wood floor” I am at a loss to understand as to which room this would be as all the rooms are carpeted. Please would you be good enough to email me the number of the room that you stayed... More

We stayed on the 2 night bed, breakfast and evening meal deal. The hotel is ideally situated near the city centre, we paid extra for the on-site parking, at £8.20 per night this eradicated any parking issues. The whole staff we met were a credit to the hotel, polite, smiling and attentive throughout our stay. Breakfast and evening meals were... More
