Situated just above a canal, this intimate hotel puts you close to Bath but with the feeling of being in the countryside. You walk down to the towpath lining the canal with picturesque barges, and in one direction lies Bath and in the other direction a perfect country pub with great food and ambience (both about a mile or so... more

Stuck, as usual, for a birthday idea for Doreen my wife, I remembered her comments following watching The Hotel Inspector and decided to book 2 nights there for both of us.What a good decision that was.I really cannot add to the previous TripAdvisor reviews although the following tips may be useful. Do arrive VIA the TOLL BRIDGE at Bathampton (50p). We... more

Our family group stayed at the Tasburgh for two nights in July 2008 and thoroughly enjoyed it. This hotel is well thought out, beautifully decorated and completely comfortable. Our room, the Piercy Shelley Suite, easily housed the four of us with plenty of room to spread out. The decor was in excellent taste and beautiful. The grounds were expansive and... more

I chose the Tasburgh for a recent trip to Bath with 11 friends to celebrate my hen do, and it was the most perfect choice. Nothing seemed too much trouble for Sue and Toni, right from the initial booking, through to general queries before we arrived, and finally during our 2 night stay. Quite simply we were made to feel... more

Just back from a two night stay here and we had a lovely time. It's an easy 20 minute walk to Bath, either by road or along the canal towpath, and overlooks the meadows. The property is an old building but well maintained. The lady owner is lovely and made us feel very welcome. The continental breakfast was very nice... more

Tasburgh is a superb hotel and I only wish I could have stayed longer! Not only is Sue (the owner) a truly wonderful host who made every detail of my stay perfect, but Charlie (the parrot) gave me a wolf whistle as I left! I stayed in Bronte where the bed was possibly the most comfortable bed I have ever... more

Stayed for three nights with my partner Ann. We loved every minute. Excellent food, excellent and friendly staff. Bath centre in easy walking distance. Cleanliness excellent, high quality toiletries in room, and a welcome from Charlie the parrot at reception. You've watched "Hotel Inspector", now just go book a stay here -- well worth it. more

It grieves me to hear of a guest not having hot water but to read about it after their departure gives us no chance to put it right. . We have a plumber and an electrician on call 24 hours per day. There is someone on duty 24 hours per day. On arrival we hope to give our guests the...

The added bonus at this hotel is the car parking, the wireless internet (free) and the breakfasts!!! A truly superb hotel run with enthusiasm... more

We booked a room at the Tasburgh for our Anniversary and we loved it. The room was very nice and clean, breakfast was excellent and Sue, the hotel manager and proprietor went really above and beyond to provide us with the best experience possible. The hotel is a short walk from Bath's city centre (about 15min) and has gorgeous views... more
