We chose Tasburgh house for my parent’s golden wedding anniversary celebration and had a party of 17 friends and family stay there over the weekend of 15th August. Sue and her team could not have been more helpful in arranging the weekend. All the rooms were wonderful and the attention to detail and the small personal touches made the weekend... More

We recently stayed at Tasburgh House for my parents 50th Wedding Anniversary (a party of 17). From arrival to departure the whole weekend was superb. Sue and her team provided a friendly and professional service. The rooms were comfortable and homely (with a personal welcoming letter on arrival); the grounds are beautiful; all of the staff were extremely helpful and... More

Tasburgh House was perfect. We needed a family room for 5 and Sue was very accommodating, putting in an extra bed for us. The beds were very comfortable and the rooms beautifully decorated and furnished. Breakfast was a feast especially the granola. We all loved it and wished we could have stayed longer to appreciate the stunning gardens.

Sue and her staff all pride themselves in providing what can only be called 'second to none' service. We arrived too early to check in, but Sue explained where we could park in Bath and also gave us the discount card to enjoy generous discounts at various Bath Attractions and eating places. Any help or advice at all, Sue or... More

As newlyweds, we wanted to be spoilt and stay in luxury. We certainly got what we were after at Tasburgh House! The service was outstanding, Sue and the staff couldn't do enough for us and even arranged a special celebration meal at the fantastic restaurant The Hudson for us. We only had the continental breakfast during our stay as that... More

Stayed here for the weekend in August. Tennyson room was very comfortable and quiet with beautiful views. Service cannot be faulted and the cooked breakfast is big enough for two! Overall a great place to stay, we will be back.

My wife and I and our son and his partner stayed at Tasburgh House for three nights 1st to 4th August. Sue, the owner and her team are absolutely delightful and gave us a genuine warm welcome and mollycoddled us for the rest of our stay. The continental breakfast was excellent as was the individually cooked English breakfast with a... More

Stayed 2 nights at the end of July 2014 at Tasburg. We had a lovely time at Tasburg House. The place feels right out of a dated novel. We stayed in a room called Hardy and were greeted by a teddy bear holding open a book by Thomas Hardy. The room was stocked with other Hardy’s books. Both our room... More

My daughter and I booked this hotel for one night. It wasn't our first choice because it was on the high end of our price range for a three week stay in England, but it was available and rated highly, and we were booking last minute. We loved Bath, and Tasburgh House made our stay even more special, so- very... More

We very much enjoyed our two-night stay at Tasburgh House in August. The staff made us feel extremely welcome and nothing was too much trouble. Our two young children particularly loved staying here as they were given lots of attention by staff at breakfast, and their collection of bedtime toys were arranged very lovingly when our room was tidied and... Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Set in 7 acres of beautiful gardens which run down to the Kennet & Avon canal, Tasburgh House has 12 stylish rooms with extremely comfy beds (according to our guests), powerful showers and luxury towels. The views are awesome and the staff are always on hand to offer advice, book taxis or recommend restaurants. With a license to sell alcohol, guests can order drinks in the Conservatory, on the Terraces beside the fountain or from the bedrooms. Just a 20 minute pretty walk into Bath's city centre - leave the car here and simply relax! We want to spoil you. ... more   less
