I'm sorry to say I had only one night in this lovely hotel on July 24,2014. Sue, the hotel owner/manager made me feel so welcome and at ease immediately. Her staff took very good care of me, including getting my luggage to my room. I was exhausted, having just flown into and driven from Heathrow - first time I'd ever... More

We stayed at Tasburgh house for two nights in July 2014. We had a lovely room with garden view and enjoyed our strolls over the estate. The recommended walk into Bath alongside the canal is just lovely. Everybody at the hotel was very friendly and welcoming. We very much enjoyed the lovely breakfast on the terrace. We would love to... More

Overall the place is really nice, with gorgeous views of Bath and nice gardens all around. We had the Austen room, on the top floor, which was quaint with a new bathroom and interesting angles and what we found to be a comfortable bed. Sue's assistant, Dalila, couldn't have been nicer or more helpful. The house is delightful and the... More

My two friends and I enjoyed the elegant hospitality of Tasburgh House in June 2014; we stayed for two nights. We had our own car so were pleased to find we could park right at the front door. We were met by gracious host Sue who welcomed us warmly and showed us to our rooms. The view from our bedroom... More

We spent two nights here and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Though not centrally located the hotel offers a perfect location to enjoy everything in Bath, perfect if you enjoy a lovely walk down the hill to the canal and on through the Georgian streets to the centre. The staff were charming and efficient, our room had the best view out... More

The only place to stay when in Bath. Tasburgh House should be ranked no 1 without doubt! Beautiful place with a beautiful setting made even better by Super Sue & her fantastic team. This is what hospitality is all about without doubt. From the moment we arrived the level of service was just brilliant. I don't think we have stayed... More

I travelled down from London and stayed here for 3 days for work meetings. Beautifully furnished with impeccable service, quintessentially British and very warm welcome. Sue and her staff went out of her way to make us at home and food was to a high standard, very good value for money overall and easily accessible to Bath and surrounding areas... More

I live in Bath but my leaders live and work all over Europe, to let them know where I come from and to give them a taste of the best English hospitality I bring them to me once a year. Sue and her team at Tasburgh are wonderful, I have used them before and will keep doing so. My team... More

When we arrived we were welcomed by Sue who, during our 2 day stay, made us most welcome. We were very lucky with the weather and were able to sit outside both evenings and enjoy the beautiful view of Bath while enjoying a glass of wine. The bed was very comfortable and the food was first class. I would thoroughly... More

From the white glove service at breakfast, to the tea tray in the room, to the amazing view from the perfectly landscaped back yard, to the lovely walk into town, to the wonderful hospitality of Sue and her staff--I can't say enough about how much we enjoyed our stay. The only problem was it wasn't long enough. I hope to... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Set in 7 acres of beautiful gardens which run down to the Kennet & Avon canal, Tasburgh House has 12 stylish rooms with extremely comfy beds (according to our guests), powerful showers and luxury towels. The views are awesome and the staff are always on hand to offer advice, book taxis or recommend restaurants. With a license to sell alcohol, guests can order drinks in the Conservatory, on the Terraces beside the fountain or from the bedrooms. Just a 20 minute pretty walk into Bath's city centre - leave the car here and simply relax! We want to spoil you. ... more   less
