To celebrate my Mum and Dad's 70th and 75th birthday's respectively my sister and I organised a family trip to Bath. We were two OAP's, three 40 somethings, my nephew (11) and my niece (8). But, whilst we covered a good age range, we all loved the Athole! The youngsters loved the cat (Moth), the bar football and hot chocolate... more

We stayed here for two nights 30th-31st May 2008 in the deluxe family room and I can't find fault. Wolfgang was very welcoming and helpful - nothing was too much trouble for him. The room was comfortable, large, with a flat screen TV, tea/coffee making facilities and the bathroom was sparkling with lovely fluffy towels on a heated towel rail,... more

This was the first place we stayed during our 2 weeks in England and we wish we could have stayed longer! The rooms were spotless with huge bathrooms. We even had flat screen TVs. Moth (the cat) enjoys welcoming everyone, just watch you don't accidentally lock him in your room :) Breakfasts were incredible! Fresh baked bread, homemade yogurt, museli... more

I just got back from a 3-week trip to the UK and this was definitely my favorite B&B from my trip. It's in a beautiful area, and a nice little walk from the city centre. Wolfgang is very friendly and accommodating, and the breakfast was amazing--I wish I could eat more in one sitting! Very quiet room, so I had... more

We had a lovely time in Bath, and staying at the Athole Guest House was the cherry on the top. The room was delightful, plenty of room for 4 adults to relax. Breakfast was devine, especially the Welsh rare-bit, which I can highly recommend to future guests. A hearty meal was a great start to a day of sightseeing. We... more

My 4 sisters and I stayed at the Athole Guest House this weekend for a family re-union and we had a wonderful stay. The Guest House is quiet, with lovely garden. Rooms are big and well-appointed with good size en-suite bathrooms and with lovely, thoughtful touches such as a chocolate on your pillow, sachets of shampoo, body lotion etc. Two... more

Breakfast was a treat each morning, and would shame a great number of hotels. Mein host and his staff were polite, friendly, and really looked after not just us but all the other guests too. Advice, and information was freely given, and very helpful. The property is furnished and decorated exactly as I would expect from a German. Not too... more

Thinking back upon our trip two springs ago, we remembered that we didn't write a review of our stay. Better late than never! Well, our stay at Athole Guest House was one of the highlights in our first trip to England among the many B and Bs we stayed in. We still remember our stay here with much fondness and... more

My husband and I stayed in the Beckford Room at the Athole Guest House for 4 wonderful nights in April 2008. It was a spacious, immaculate room with modern furnishings. The beds were very comfortable and there was plenty of closet and storage space. Even the shower was roomier than usual in England. There were snacks for purchase in the... more
