Breakfast was a treat each morning, and would shame a great number of hotels. Mein host and his staff were polite, friendly, and really looked after not just us but all the other guests too. Advice, and information was freely given, and very helpful. The property is furnished and decorated exactly as I would expect from a German. Not too... more

Thinking back upon our trip two springs ago, we remembered that we didn't write a review of our stay. Better late than never! Well, our stay at Athole Guest House was one of the highlights in our first trip to England among the many B and Bs we stayed in. We still remember our stay here with much fondness and... more

My husband and I stayed in the Beckford Room at the Athole Guest House for 4 wonderful nights in April 2008. It was a spacious, immaculate room with modern furnishings. The beds were very comfortable and there was plenty of closet and storage space. Even the shower was roomier than usual in England. There were snacks for purchase in the... more

This hotel is quite simply superb! In fact I don't really want to write too good a review because I want to keep it a secret. The owners are as friendly and as helpful as you could want. The building is a wonderfully restored Victorian house, but the rooms are modern. All the fixtures, fittings, decoration etc. are top quality... more

My boyfriend and I were in bath at the end of last week (16th,17th & 18th April) And we were unable to stay in our original B&B on the last night and we were lucky enough to get into the Athole hotel as they had a cancellation for that Friday (Otherwise they are fully booked until end of June!) And... more

We have just returned from our stay at Athole House. From the moment we arrived to the time we left, we were treated with kindness and respect. Wolfgang was the perfect host and nothing was too much trouble for him. The room was just perfect, very comfortable with the best shower ever! The breakfasts were delicious and such a treat.... more

We have just returned from our London & Bath trip and were really regretful for sharing only one night in Bath. The main reason we should stay more than 1 night was the great atmosphere we received at the Athole Guest House. A very warm welcome by the owner Wolfgang was really impressive. He is actually everything; the receptionist, Chef,... more

This Gorgeous Detached Georgian Town House with Conservatory is set in beautifully landscaped gardens at the front and rear with ample off road parking and security gates. All this is crowned with the amazing panorama of the city from the conservatory. My partner and I stayed in the 'Fielding' suite a most spacious double room with ensuite facilities. It was... more

I stayed at the Athole Guest House for 3 nights at the end of a 15 month journey around the world. What a treat! Wolfgang, Josephine, and their cat, Moth, were friendly, warm, and helpful. The place is a 15 minute walk out of town, but not far at all and i enjoyed the walk. I personally think it shows... more

If you visit Bath I strongly recommend the Athole Guest House. True it is 15 minutes from the centre but the advantage of being able to leave your car securely parked in the grounds is a big advantage. The walk into the centre is downhill and after a fantastic breakfast the walk is essential. Talking of breakfast, must be the... more
