We had decided to go to Bath, stay the night and check out the Roman Thermae the next day. We had no booking, and had a great deal of difficulty finding a hotel as it was late in the afternoon when we arrived. The traffic was terrible, and we had almost given up on our plan, when we were on... more

Only stayed one night at this delightful hotel in April 2009. Found it from their roadside sign as I was driving around Bath looking for a hotel for the night. You enter up a long driveway to a very elegant Georgian House which is the hotel. The hotel is on a main road but set back and I didn’t notice... more

We recently stayed at this hotel in a double with en-suite bathroom. We found it very comfortable and clean. The staff were lovely and very helpful, the breakfasts were excellent. The only downside was the bathroom which was clean but rather tired looking, also the shower was quite small. We would stay there again. more

Summary - HIGHLY RECOMMENDED Location - dead easy to find. It may look like it's on a busy main road when you google map it but it is set well back and very peaceful. Lovely garden, lovely looking building and very typical for this area which was nice. It's not really within walking distance of Bath unless you are really... more

We recently stayed at Bailbrook Lodge & found the house, staff & atmosphere fantastic. It is ideally situated for easy access to bath centre, with free car parking on site, which so few places have in Bath. The house was clean, with lots of character, and very friendly staff. We enjoyed a wonderful Champagne breakfast, which was all included in... more

This was a wonderful experience. We booked a few days in advance and arrived at around 9:30PM... tired and warn out after a day of seeing Bath. Reception was warm and welcoming and our room was spacious clean and nicely furnished. It should be noted that this is a B&B so the furnishing is quaint as should be expected. The... more

this hotel advertises one price and trys to charge another... beware. The receptionist seems to have no idea about the fact that they advertise one price "from" but that price does not seem to exist... the real price is £115pn. Her attitude just made me walk away... from the reviews not a moment too soon! more

Booked the spa package, (2 x vouchers for the Thermae spa). Room on arrival was on 2nd floor and rather musty. Pregnant wife was not impressed, so they moved us for free to a 4 poster bay fronted room on the 1st floor. Stunning room, shower was a bit weak, but other than that cannot complain at all. Staff lovely,... more

My wife and I booked the Bailbrook Lodge for a shopping trip to Bath after taking our son back to University. Situated a 10 minute bus ride to the town, we left the car at the hotel while we shopped (quite convenient). We found the hotel as part of a promotion in one of the national newspapers, which was a... more

Shortly after we arrived we were called home as our daughter had become ill. We had not even taken our case into our room. We accepted that we would lose our deposit but they charged the full rate including breakfast which of course we had not taken. They quoted policy but clearly had no sense of discretion or compassion -... more
