We stayed just one night at the Bailbrook Lodge and got out and about most of the time to see Bath. The hotel is about 5-10 mins outside of Bath, but don't let that put you off as there is a bus stop over the road, which run fairly often, and taxis from town back worked out at about £6-7.... More

We had a family suite with two rooms. The receptionist who checked us in and showed us the room was very helpful and friendly and suggested a local pub for dinner (Bathampton Mill), which proved to be good. The room was large, comfortable and well appointed. The beds were very comfortable. The only disappointment for us was the breakfast. We... More

We stayed here for one night on an inclusive offer. The hotel is decorated and furnished in a period style which was both quaint and somewhat old fashioned. Our room was on the top floor, small but comfortable, but was let down by the limited heating especially in the morning. It was an extremely cold day and night. We were... More

My boyfriend had booked us a surprise one night hotel stay through Travelzoo at Bailbrook Lodge for a birthday getaway treat. First impressions - an impressive exterior, and a nice quiet secluded feel as you pull up to the hotel. We had arrived a little earlier than scheduled check in time, (approx 1pm) but were pleased to be told that... More

I am responding to this review as one of the owners of Bailbrook Lodge and would like to deal with the issues in the order that they were raised by you. I am sorry that because of your boyfriend’s height that the roll top bath was not to your liking but I would point out that it is a full... More

I stayed here for one night with my boyfriend. We had a really nice afternoon tea when we got in, and had a nice bottle of wine waiting in the room as requested at booking. The beds are very comfortable (we didn't want to go home to ours after!), and we both loved the made to order breakfast, especially the... More

Thank you for your lovely review. I was particularly pleased that you enjoyed our award winning breakfast which includes a glass of champagne and that you also enjoyed lunch at Brasserie Brunel. As the only downside was that you did not book two nights rather than one, you can always rectify this by returning to us for a two day... More

Lovely stay in this delightful lodge. Very friendly staff throughout. Nothing to fault although the weather was particularly cold and the draught from the (closed) bedroom window made the room feel very chilly, despite the radiator being full on. This aside, the bed was comfy, the duvet thick and, as I used the extra blanket, I spent a very cosy... More

Stayed for two nights. Lovely building decorated in keeping with period. Lots of free parking. Very close to bus stops and short trip to Bath (day return around £4). Room lovely with a slipper bath. Breakfast tasty with lots of choice. Very good service the staff worked hard. We were made to feel welcome; all staff friendly. I would highly... More

Lovely room and we did enjoy our stay but was let down by the breakfast. The first morning was great. I am replying as one of the owners of Bailbrook Lodge.
