This was my second visit to Bailbrook Lodge and this time we opted for a suite with a four poster bed. The Lodge is a marvellous old house, appropriately furnished, and in a great location. Our room was fantastic and the bed was extremely comfortable. Ample supplies of tea/coffee/chocolate and biscuits in our room on arrival. We also had an... More

Stayed at Bailbrook Lodge this weekend and thoroughly enjoyed it. We got an amazing offer through Travelzoo which was worth every penny. The staff couldn't have been friendlier, breakfast and afternoon tea both fabulous as was lunch at the sister hotel. Our room was a little small but wasn't a problem. It was very clean and had lovely bedding. The... More

Just returned from a 2 day stay here in Bath. Lovely room with four poster bed, good view of countryside, great location, superb staff. pleasant breakfast, nice quiet garden area, I couldn't ask for more. We stayed just one night at the Bailbrook Lodge and got out and about most of the time to see Bath. The hotel is about 5-10 mins outside of Bath, but don't let that put you off as there is a bus stop over the road, which run fairly often, and taxis from town back worked out at about £6-7.... More

We had a family suite with two rooms. The receptionist who checked us in and showed us the room was very helpful and friendly and suggested a local pub for dinner (Bathampton Mill), which proved to be good. The room was large, comfortable and well appointed. The beds were very comfortable. The only disappointment for us was the breakfast. We... More

I am replying to your review as one of the owners of Bailbrook Lodge I note that everything was enjoyable about your stay apart from the breakfast. We stayed here for one night on an inclusive offer. The hotel is decorated and furnished in a period style which was both quaint and somewhat old fashioned. Our room was on the top floor, small but comfortable, but was let down by the limited heating especially in the morning. It was an extremely cold day and night. We were... More

I am replying to your review as one of the owners of Bailbrook Lodge I was very disappointed to read about the limited heating and that one of our staff advised you that the heating was only on between 6 a.m. and 7 a.m. I cannot explain why this person would have said that as obviously this is incorrect. My boyfriend had booked us a surprise one night hotel stay through Travelzoo at Bailbrook Lodge for a birthday getaway treat. First impressions - an impressive exterior, and a nice quiet secluded feel as you pull up to the hotel. We had arrived a little earlier than scheduled check in time, (approx 1pm) but were pleased to be told that... More
