A fantastic hotel situated in the centre of Bath. On arrival, Jenny the receptionist was absolutely fantastic- she made us feel very welcome, friendly and knowledgeable. On leaving the hotel she was equally helpful and lovely and genuinely cared if we had a good week. You don't see that level of service in most hotels. Our room was the Frances... More

5 out of 5 in every respect. Exceptionally friendly and helpful staff, beautifully appointed rooms and common areas - some great artworks - lovely big room (came direct from Paris!) fantastic dinner in the in house restaurant. The overall ambience was of the highest level. One tip - get firm directions to the hotel, we did not realise the street... More

My recent stay was for my 40th birthday and a trip to Bath Spa, I called the hotel to advise this & on article they gave me the best room 311 (within the price band I had paid for) Comfort Double... Delighted to read that our team helped to make it extra special for you and indeed whilst 311 is one of our smaller rooms it is also a very pretty room as you say with great views. We enjoyed staying at this hotel just before Christmas and the fact that it is very central was great for us. We thought out bedroom and we thought the bed was soo comfy we even bought a mattress the same !! Clean, smart but welcoming and a great breakfast, all in all a good stay.

Dear Littlejem52 Great to hear that you loved the bed so much you bought one! So many people ask us about them, they are custom made for us but hey do sell an almost identical version and as you know you cannot beat a comfy bed. Hope to see you in Bath again soon, at least you know you will... More

Would not normally book a 3* but had good reviews. Its getting some upgrades done but not finished yet. It will be a very good 4* or possibly 5* when finished. Dinner fantastic. Cooked breakfast a bit tasteless. Would go back without any question. By the way Superb Views.

Stayed at the Abbey last weekend with husband to celebrate my birthday. We arrived quite late on the Friday, but received a very warm welcome from the staff. As we entered our room, I was very impressed to see how large it was, large bed...two sofas and a walk in wardrobe. I must also say a huge thank you to... More

Stayed here this week , with my daughter for a shopping/sightseeing trip as a mothers day treat. We had a lovely time here at Bath. The whole experience was lovely. The staff are all very friendly. The room was really big, however it was really cold. The heating had broken down and they had to call out an engineer. This... More

We usually avoid 'chain' hotels but chose this because of its location, within easy walking distance from Bath Spa station and the town centre. The staff were very welcoming and helpful and the room was spacious and comfortable. We arrived before check in time but they found us a room straight away. The breakfast was very good - all good... Location: I stayed at the Abbey for the weekend for a friend's hen weekend. The location was perfect with the train station, Roman baths, restaurants and many shops within a short walking distance. Staff: The hotel staff were extremely polite and friendly, in particular the gentleman working in the restaurant at breakfast (Rob? I think his name was), and the... More
