After reading other reviews I was worried as I had organized this trip for girlfriends. The receptionists were helpful, the rooms were well equipped including flat screen TV, iron & ironing board, The beds were very comfortable, the rooms and bathrooms very clean. There did appear to be a problem with some of the TV channels but it didn't worry... more

have just returned from a weekend stay at the Abbey Hotel. This hotel is grossly misrepresented on all websites. We were originally given a room at the front of the hotel which had dirty windows and a less than sparkling bathroom. We rang the night receptionist at 2.am because we could not sleep due to the noise of people leaving... more

I stayed at this hotel over the Easter weekend. The room I was allocated was at the back of the hotel and was comfortable enough, but there was a thick layer of dust clearly visible on the wall beside the headboard. The bathroom was spotless. There was a plasma tv screen, but Channel 5 and CNN were not available as... more

My boyfriend and I stayed here for two nights during which I got somewhere in the region of 30 minutes sleep. Our room - which was tiny, dire and dirty - was at the back of the hotel. The window was broken and couldn't be closed, and the view from it was of air con units and the like, used... more

We stayed at the hotel for 3 nights from a Wednesday to Saturday. Location was excellent and parking was about a 1 minute walk from the hotel and cost £12 per day, the machine takes £ coins or you can pay by card at the machine. We had room 304 on the top floor and had a good view a... more

This hotel is situated right in the centre of Bath, which is a bonus. The greeting by the staff was at best unimpressive, at worst just rude. I had to wait whilst the receptionist finished her conversation with her colleague (about some poor chap who was apparently a poor performer) before she could check me in. However, one other staff... more

Have just returned from The Abbey Hotel with a friend we had a mixed time. The position could not have been beaten. Close to everything and also great to go out in the evening. On arrival we were greeted with an OK response by the Receptionist. This same Recepionist we later overheard on two occasions in a very loud voice... more

Just come back from a weekend in Bath for my girlfriends birthday. The hotel it's self is in a great location with the roman baths, Therma Spa and numerous bars and restuarants on the doorstep. Unfortunately there is no secure parking on-site but the car park they direct you to is next to the police station and only a 2... more

Stayed here with my sister for two nights mid December for the Christmas markets. There were virtually no rooms available in Bath that weekend as we booked at quite short notice, so it was with some trepidation that I clicked the "confirm booking" option. Having read the reviews on this website my hopes were not particularly high but you know... more

This is a very good hotel right next to the Abbey in Bath. The building was built in the 1700's but our room was recently refurbished. Although our room was small, as most european rooms are, it was larger than the rest that we stayed in on our trip. The service was very helpful during the 3 nights that we... more
