I've just returned from a 2 day stay at the Kennard, having booked 2 single rooms with private bathroom for my friend and me. We were made extremely welcome from the outset - thank you to Natalie and all her staff for help with parking, tips on what to see, where to go and a good gossip at reception. The... More

My friend and I stayed in this wonderful Georgian house in December while visiting the Christmas markets. We were warmly greeted by the owners and our room made ready even though we were a little early. The young girl on reception was absolutely delightful, professional and informative. We were given a permit for free parking on the road which is... More

If you want a massive sanitized room that can only be offered by a overpriced chain hotel, look elsewhere. If you want a welcoming atmosphere, clean unique rooms, one hell of a breakfast, a central location, and great value for money look no further than the Kennard. I have started using boutique style hotels for city breaks because of the... More

We were a party of 6, staying in Bath for our daughter's birthday. Although The Kennard is listed as a "B&B", it is so much more than that: you will receive the warmest welcome by the vivacious Natalie; the rooms are all full of character and are spotlessly clean with very comfortable beds and carefully chosen toiletries and teas etc;... Just near enough the city centre to feel you could explore from the doorstep. Free parking with parking permit provided. Wonderful breakfast, comfortable room with well equipped bathroom. Owners Natalie & Guy made us feel very welcome & offered good advice & guidance when we asked where we should go for dinner etc. They couldn't have done it better, the... More

Stayed in January. Lovely, cosy and extremely clean room. Bed was very comfortable and had excellent pillows. Breakfast was amazing. Really loved the choice of tea and coffee too. Host was very friendly, welcoming and helpful. I would recommend The Kennard for a stay in Bath and I would stay here again!

Room 8 is one of my personal favourites especially since we had the pine furniture painted & I agree it is cosy up there. Thank you for your kind comments. Natalie More

We stayed here for 3 nights last weekend and must say that we will stay here again. Natalie and Guy run a smooth operation here, we were surprised to learn they've only been in ownership for a year because The Kennard is so good at providing the services they have on offer and it's immaculately kept. The rooms are very... More

Visited Bath to run a race with friends - the owners were very welcoming and very accommodating of muddy runners and their awkward requirements. Comfortable rooms - the twin beds were unusually large for singles, which was a nice surprise. Excellent breakfast with a wide choice of tea and coffee - would have eaten even more if I hadn't been... More

Guy loves a runner …. We hope you'll come back one March for the Bath Half as it's great fun here. Thank you for your kind comments and, yes, the single beds in our twin and in one of our single rooms are extra wide (3 foot 6 inches rather than the usual 3 foot). Thanks again, N More

For a short or long stay, this is an excellent place to be! The location is brilliant, it’s only around the corner from the city’s centre and the main attractions. It’s along a very quiet street too. I was on a solo trip and requested a single room. It’s a lovely and comfortable little room with pretty much everything you... More
