We stayed 4 nights at The Kennard in late September 2014 and found it ideal for our first visit to Bath, that incredible city. It's so close to everything, perhaps a 10-minute walk to the city center and 20-25 minutes in the other direction to the river and canal. We asked for a quiet room at the back and got... More

My partner & I stayed 3 nights in Sept 2014 and I honestly can't think of a single negative as we really enjoyed our stay. Communication with Giovanni & Mary prior to our arrival was excellent (on request they arranged some lovely chocolates & chilled prosecco for our arrival as it was our anniversary), and their customer service throughout lived... Best hotel I've been at this price! Owners are very friendly and helpful. Rooms are well kept and well decorated and have nice fittings, toiletries and furniture. Breakfast is brilliant, not to be missed!

We stayed two nights recently. Rooms, small, but clean and very attractive. Breakfast was excellent, fancy British breakfast. The eggs were cooked to perfection!! Location excellent for the major attractions. Beautiful English garden in the back.

We stayed for 3 nights in September following on from one night in Hogarhs Hotel in Dorridge. What a disappointment! Bedroom number 11 was so small we could not find any space to put our toiletries down so we moved the tea facilities onto the floor (the wash basin was in the bedroom). We are both slim people but we... More

Thank you for taking the time to write a review, and we are glad you appreciated our breakfast, garden and location. However, we are sorry you feel "disappointed". As you can see from our website, The Kennard is a Georgian townhouse and there is nothing "dismal" or "dark" about the decor: it is in the classical Georgian style, and you... More

My friends and I stayed have just returned from this wonderful guest house where this year we stayed for our annual girlie trip. It was perfect in every way - location, welcome, service, food and quality of rooms. Would definitely return when visiting Bath & can't recommend it highly enough.

Giovanni and Mary couldn't of done more to make us feel welcome . It was our anniversary and we had a little surprise on our arrival. We had the paisley room on the top floor very nice. Mary helped us with everything we needed , luckily when we arrived we found a parking space outside but even if you don't... More

Our room looked gorgeous (you get what you see on the website), the breakfast was good (you can choose a full English breakfast, porridge, etc), the owners were most helpful. The only downside is that the building is old, so you might hear the floors creaking above you and the front door opening and closing if you stay on the... More

My friends and I had a wonderful time in Bath recently. The Kennard is in an excellent location, close to Pulteney Bridge, Bath Abbey, convenient to all of Bath's attractions really. The bedrooms, and bathrooms, had everything you could possibly need and the rooms were immaculate. We returned each evening to find fresh clean towels in our bathrooms and our... More
