Pratt's is not so bad if you book it at a bargain rate, and the location is convenient. The least satisfactory aspect of my room was the weird old plumbing, which is just deferred maintenance and updating, not charm and character. Light bulbs were burned out, and one of the bathroom fixtures turned off and on again by itself. Maintenance... more

This was a wonderful hotel about 4 blocks from both the train station and bus station. Very easy to walk with luggage. It was really easy to walk from our hotel into the town proper, about 5 minutes to the Abbey and Roman Baths. There is even an internet cafe just around the corner open from 9-9. I had a... more

The location was the best part about this hotel. I had to laugh at the previous reviewer describing the receptionist as less than charming as I suspect we had the very same receptionist. The small parking lot outside the hotel is expensive and the spaces are not guaranteed for the hotel. I thought the rooms were just fine---spacious enough, clean,... more

I will say that this hotel was in a great location, the breakfast in the morning was free and good. and i liked the staff. The morning breakfast crew was nice. I found everyone to be nice. The rooms are very outdated. No air conditioning. Old, outdated wallpaper. One night some pipe from the ceiling started leaking, etc.... These are... more

We arrived at 3.15pm only to be told by a rather charmless receptionist that the room would not be ready for another 30 minutes (their confirmation letter said we could check in from 2pm). Not that big a problem for us as we were happy to wander round for a while but it did not make for the best first... more

I've been meaning to leave this review since,well..January. The new season has reminded me! Stayed at Pratts with friends. The boys to watch Bath rugby and the girls to go shopping. Sadly the rugby with cancelled due to a frozen pitch, so the boys had to take solace in the lounge in front of the open fire with a few... more

Happy childhood memories drew me back to Pratts. In many ways it was comforting to find that , save from the rather inept addition of private bathrooms, and the absence of permanent residents with tables for 1, little had changed. Unfortunately, such changes as had taken place were not necessarily for the better. Blown lightbulbs ( as found in our... more

Good location close to rail station and major sights. Easy and friendly check-in. Bit of a trek to my room but it was large and clean. Buffet breakfast which was very good. more

Stayed here for 2 nights. Not luxury accomodations but excellent value all things considered. Bath is expensive, and I had difficulty finding a place in town we could afford with available 3-person room. Certainly it could use a little updating. It's not so old everything can be excused on that basis alone. It was built in the early 20th c... more

Central yes! convenient, yes! Poor in every other way- yes....from dead flowers in the entrance, torn and dirty carpets, out of date and tired interiors, a lift from the ark that jolts you on every level if it doesn't stop between levels. No room service options, poor service and lack of interest in guests overall. If I hadn't booked on... more
