I had personal reasons for visiting Pratts Hotel as my Grandfather had managed the hotel after WW2 and my father had worked here in the late 40's and early 50's. The hotel like a lot of Bath is Georgian and the oldest hotel in Bath owing to the fact it wasnt bombed in WW2. The rooms are large, bright and... More

Just come back from recent stay the service was excellent There are a few issues due to the hotel just being taken over by a new company so the refurbishment is imminent. However the hotel is a great situation within walking distance of the centre.

I'm afraid that this is a very tired hotel in what was once a fabulous building (apparently Sir Walter Scott once lived here). Desperately in need of renovation, grubby and worn out in places. The showers (in my top floor room at least) are too hot or cold. It is not possible to mix the two as the hot water... More

In June 2014 bought a KGB voucher embellishing his hotel as luxury. It's not even close to decent let alone luxury. They charged an extra £20 for a Friday night stay. As if that wasn't enough, we also had to pay to park the car in the nearby car park.A total rip off but that's another story. The hotel was... More

Stayed here twice. Location is awesome. Very central. Minutes walk from town and train station. The decor is very dated. Reminds me of an old folks home. So if your looking for a flash looking hotel. Keep looking. The staff here are excellent. Very friendly, quick and efficient check in. I rang the hotel while in town to have a... More

Good location & close train station. The staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good, you got what you ordered. Checkout was fast & efficient, as we were in a bit of a rush tom get to our appointment with a client.

Arriving on a pleasant August evening the hotel was welcoming and the staff efficient. There hasn't been much decoration or refirbishment in quite a while though, and the place is looking tired. The lift is a relic of a previous age, but full of character, and my room (single) was a garret in the roof with a limited view of... More

The Hotel is in a good location within easy walking distance of all the City's key attractions. We got it on a KGB deal with Thermae Spa included for £99 bed and breakfast so for this it represented good value. I opted for the poached haddock and poached eggs for breakfast which was cooked to order, extremely well cooked and... More

The location is great, the staff are very friendly. That's the good stuff out of the way. £12.50 a day parking at the car park over the road, rooms are like a Blackpool guest house, small, creaky, mould all over the bathroom, very, very tired fittings. At £115 a night non-cancellable without breakfast (didn't eat here at all) it is... More

This hotel probably needs a £1m spending. It is tired and clearly suffering from lack on investment. The bar lacked a good range of drinks and the draft Guinness was replaced by cans. The staff were friendly enough and helpful, but I echo other reviewers as to the rooms, which frankly looked like a set from Fawlty Towers. The hotel... More
