We booked this hotel as a 2 night break for our first wedding anniversary. It was excellent from start to finish. We parked our car on the car park and was greeted half way to the door by a man asking to take our luggage. We were checked in very efficently and quickly, all amenities were described to us and... more

We stayed here for my birthday in June for three nights and it was absolutely fantastic! The staff were brilliant - we were greeted at the door, our bags were took, check in was swift and efficient and the staff were immensely helpful. The location is perfect a 5min stroll into the centre of Bath. Spa facilities are great, found... more

Great hotel, nice intimate bar, comfortable ante-room and well topped off by a really first rate spa. Overall thoroughly recommended. more

The hotel itself is lovely. The dining areas and bars are comfrtable and stylish. Having a drink outside in the summer is beautiful. The breakfast was fantastic, both the food, seeting and service. The evening meal was average and when we stayed the following winter the main dining room was decidedly cold. The main downside was the room itself. We... more

Me and my wife stayed for two nights at this hotel and it was dreadful for what should be a 5* hotel. It was a real shame as we stayed there two years ago and it was exceptional. When we arrived there was no one to greet us at the door and take our bags. When we checked in we... more

Coming from America, this type of establishment is something you would think of finding in the Northeast. It was very beautiful and reminded me of a Bed and breakfast type of place. We were there for a wedding that took place downstairs in the Gardens. It was a gorgeous reception and the staff was xtrememly friendly. We were in the... more

I had booked a room to stay two nights (26/05 and 27/05) for a break away for my birthday. we arrived at the hotel at approximately 4pm. The doorman ignored us on arrival as I assume he thought we we're tourists not guests. when we checked in the phone was ringing and the receptionist spent her time speaking on the... more

We stayed here for one night over the May Bank Holiday to do a reccy prior to spending a few days here later this year for a special family occassion. We regularly visit Bath and The Residence has been our bolt-hole, but due to its closure we have had to find a new favourite getaway in Bath. On first impressions... more

Lovely hotel stayed for one night as we had a £250.00 gift voucher. Staff were courteous and helpful. Dinner was lovely, spa great, room had a bed big enough for 4 people and lovely Molton Brown products. Easy walk into town, impressive building. Very nice - would go again. more
