This is our first visit to the Dukes hotel and I couldn't be more impressed. The hotel is decorated with period furniture and the rooms are comfortable and spacious. But by far the biggest attribute to this hotel was its staff. Nothing was too much trouble and always went above and beyond our expectations. I would highly recommend a stay... More

Once ‘parked up’ in one of the 625 ‘on street’ parking bays we have access to, our guests leave their cars for the duration of their stay. Rather than book or wait for a taxi, our location on Great Pulteney Street offers guests the pleasure of a majestic stroll along arguable the finest Georgian boulevard in Europe, into the heart... We really enjoyed our 2 nights in this very welcoming hotel. We chose one of the smaller double rooms, it had everything we needed, and was very comfortable. The staff were really friendly and helpful. Breakfasts were exceptional. When we come back to Bath, this is definitely where we will be staying.

All our guests, regardless of the room they chose, enjoy the same personal care and attentive consideration. Our overarching interest is that those who come to stay with us enjoy a thoroughly satisfying and relaxing break in a warm, welcoming, well located Georgian townhouse. With the beauty of Bath a mere 5 minute level stroll from our door, our interest... More

Wow how can you give this place less than five stars.. the staff were all amazingly friendly and helpful. Becky was really helpful also. The breakfast was nice well presented but more presentation than substance. But thats just because I like big brekkys. The hotel was charming and had a few parts that were a little tired. But it was... More

As you note we set great store by serving a carefully presented breakfast. Our self-service buffet offers guest the opportunity of fresh fruit , fruit salad, all sorts of cereals, pastries and more….with regards to the cooked to order ‘hot’ breakfast we are always happy to add on an additional sausage or extra egg on request ! I booked Dukes Hotel for a weekend away for my sister's 50th Birthday based on research and so glad I did!! Nothing was too much for them. I was given lots of tips and all the extra touches they offered made our stay perfect. One of our highlights was the cheese platter with port (need to pre-book it) that we... More

Absolutely delighted that you thoroughly enjoyed the cheese platter. ‘The Fine Cheese Company on Walcot Street offers over 200 cheeses – so plenty more to savour on your return !! The Georgian history and grandeur of Dukes offers up a wonderful ‘backdrop’ for a hearty and memorable celebration. Many thanks. More

We stayed for one night and wished we had stayed longer. Beautiful rooms in a restored Georgian home with all the modern touches. The staff makes the experience even more special. A glass of port in the salon after a rainy evening walk topped off a lovely evening (thank you Roman). A delicious breakfast with excellent tour suggestions started the... More

On a cold winters night there is little to compare with a warming glass of port or a modest balloon of brandy. The crackling of an open fire and flicker of mantelpiece candles enhance the ambiance and antiquity that Dukes has on offer. Our location, a 5 minute stroll from the heart of Bath helps ensure that even on a... More

Spent a long weekend here for my 50th birthday. Nothing was too much bother. From the warm welcome at reception to the bucket of fizz in my room. All the staff were great but a particular mention must go to the night manager Ramon (sorry if I spelt that wrong) who was just lovely. Breakfast was a really good and... More

We have just spent a lovely weekend at Dukes! The location was excellent and room lovely. Literally just a 5 minute walk from the town centre and main attractions. Also you receive a parking permit to park for free in the surrounding residential area which is great. Breakfast was beautiful with a great selection, including Stornoway black pudding, locally sourced... More

Staff couldn't have been more helpful, breakfast was great, room superb, overall exactly the kind of experience you'd hope for on a short break, but secretly not expect. A nice touch was the Bucks Fizz after New Year's Day breakfast (which had been extended to allow a lie in). Front of house made some excellent nightlife recommendations which we followed... More
