My husband and I have just returned from a nights stay at Dukes boutique guest house, staying in a double superior room for only £105 including breakfast AND parking! (Subject to availability - we arrived at 11am and got a space and a permit from dukes) A bargain for what we have just experienced. From the day we called to... More

This was our first trip to the historic town of Bath. The Duke Hotel, which is a stunning listed building in a beautiful boulevard style road, promised so much from the pavement view and far exceeded anything we could have imagined inside! We were very warmly welcomed by Carol and David who immediately made us feel totally at home. Our... More

We visited in mid January in very cold weather. Dukes was lovely and warm. The building is a superb Georgian townhouse beautifully decorated. Our room was spacious, elegant and well furnished. The bathroom was well equipped with bath, shower and a sit down shower with loads of hot water. The breakfast was great with all hot items freshly cooked. We... More

We have just returned to Dukes after having such a good stay last July. The hotel is beautifully kept, great location, and just right for a visit to Bath. The staff are always very thoughtful, and nothing is too much trouble. We've stayed in the most basic room on both our visits and these were both to a very high... More

Thank you for a very positive and generous review. The nature of a Georgian townhouse offers up a variety of room sizes and options ranging from the compact to the ‘wow’. Very pleased to read that you were wholly satisfied with your choice of room. On your next visit allow us to treat you to an alternative room as we have... More

On our way back to London after a two night stay at Dukes. We arrived late evening to a warm, friendly but unfussy welcome, allowing us to relax straight away. The bed was firm but comfortable and the room (Montrose) a very good size, tastefully decorated and with big high ceilings. The bathroom was huge, spotlessly clean and water (almost... More

Thank you for the very positive recommendation. As you note our natural demeanour is to offer a ‘friendly but unfussy welcome’. We benefit from inhabiting two magnificent Georgian townhouses on a majestic boulevard and simply wish to share the pleasures of a candle lit lounge and crackling open fire with all who care to stay with us. We look forward... More

I had a great time here for my birthday, the staff are hilarious, the chap at the desk had a really witty and dry sense of humour, found him most amusing - I think he was the owner and his wife was so lovely too, they gave me a card and a box of chocolates for my birthday which was... More

Chuffed to read that you so thoroughly enjoyed your birthday celebrations with us here at Dukes. We take great pride in our cooked to order, best in class, breakfast. We source our black pudding from Stornoway on the Isle of Lewis, smoked salmon from Severn and Wye Smokery and our fish from Paignton in Devon. Our sausage, bacon and eggs... More

My partner and I stayed at Dukes hotel bath just for a one night stay before heading to a wedding. I had never been to Bath before and wanted to see a bit of the city. I had the most fantastic time at Dukes. It's a bit like staying at a wealthy friends parents house - gorgeous Georgian townhouse with... More

Great location, just a few minutes stroll from the city centre, but without major passing traffic or noise. Lovely room, great bed, fab nights sleep. Extremely helpful staff. Gorgeous breakfast. All in all, only positive things to say here. Will be back.

Dukes is located on Great Pulteney Street, arguably the finest Georgian boulevard in Northern Europe. We are a majestic 5 minute level stroll into the heart of Bath - we delight in guests ‘parking up’ and being free of taxi, bus or transport issues for the duration of their stay. We look forward to your return and greatly appreciate your... More

My wife and I stayed just prior to Christmas as a birthday treat for myself. Very friendly and helpful team at the hotel. Beautiful Georgian building located 5 minutes walk away from the centre of Bath. We stayed in the Argyll room. Grand high ceilings and lovely decorated. Lovely box of biscuits in our room upon arrival, tasty mince pies... More

Delighted to read that you thoroughly enjoyed staying with us for your birthday celebrations. As you note, poor air circulation in an enclosed bathroom is the bane of an hotelier’s life. We have a rolling program of maintenance, repair and replacement - I apologies that there was cause for concern on this occasion. I am pleased to read that the... More

I stayed here with my family for a short break after Christmas. The hotel is charming and perfectly located for exploring Bath by foot. The staff were wonderful, nothing was too much trouble for them and I can wholeheartedly recommend a stay here.
