I had a spa day booked with my daughter with a "hero" treatment. We found it difficult to find as when we got to the Royal Crescent the hotel has no signage outside to say its a hotel, we had to ring them to make sure we were in the correct place and that we could just walk through what... More

I went to the Royal Crescent for afternoon tea which was a family birthday celebration. When we arrived we were shown to a downstairs room which lacked any ambiance and most certainly not what we expected. A member of staff explained that they had a wedding and could not seat us in the restaurant .... however he asked if we... More

I have just returned from a 2 night stay. I thoroughly enjoyed every part of my stay, from the breakfasts to the afternoon tea. All the staff were increadibly helpful, nothing was too much trouble for them. My spa treatment today was extremely relaxing. I am looking forward to my next visit.

We took my mum for afternoon tea on a Sunday as a special celebration treat and were surprised at the ambience of the room and the attitude of the staff. The visit started out promising, with a very helpful and friendly doorman. But once we were shown to the restaurant, things went a bit downhill. We were initially seated in... More

The Royal Crescent hotel's well dressed staff usher you into the traditional British drawing room to check in and are happy to help with any queries or needs you may have (mostly). Be careful though - we had ticked an upgrade option online during the reservation process but were shown straight to one of their top suites, without being asked... More

Thank you for your comments When booking an upgrade online it shows the type of room and the upgrade price. By ticking the upgrade option it alerts us to try and accommodate the request and if it is possible it will be done. There may have been some confusion in that this was not mentioned to you before being shown... More

We decided to enjoy a long weekend in bath, did the sights, enjoyed the thermal spa and thought on the Sunday we would treat ourselves to a top notch afternoon tea at the Royal Crescent... It was ok. The food was fine, the service was good but it was just so stuffy with zero atmosphere and a plain decor. I... More

Thank you for your comments and we note that you felt that the "ambience" was a little lacking. We always try to ensure that our guests are relaxed and enjoy their time here. We do get wonderful comments about our afternoon teas and regret that your experience was not as you anticipated and of course we will discuss this with... More

The Royal Crescent restaurant for lunch is exceptional value for money for such a luxurious hotel. The staff are always accommodating, make you feel completely comfortable. Our three course Al Carte Menu , plus coffee/tea and petit four were all delicious, bit different and the presentation was perfect. Chef accommodated my dietary requirements and my husband had a wonderful birthday... More

And why not..?! The hotel sits in the middle of The Royal Crescent. Upon arrival, we were shown to the restaurant and offered a table inside or outside in the glorious gardens. We ate inside because the weather was being very unpredictable. There were five choices of afternoon tea, and a huge selection of teas, ranging from traditional English breakfast... More

We stayed recently on a Tuesday night having booked direct 10 days in advance, benefiting from the discounted B & B rate for our anniversary. We told them it was our anniversary, and we were fortunate enough to be placed in room eight which is on the first floor directly above the entrance into the hotel. It has the only... More

Returned after staying 6 years ago when we had the best time....the food then was amazing and the service exceptional. I have to say we waited for the refurbishment to return as the rooms did need updating.
