I booked a 2 day "Spa break" for my partner's birthday. I think it's the most I've ever spent on a hotel so was expecting something special. Forget the idea of staying on the Crescent itself, most rooms are in the building out the back. Don't expect a view unless you pay top prices. Our room, #40, was a real... more

From the moment you arrive, you are treated like royalty. The concierge park your car and take your luggage to your room. You wait in a splendid room for reception to come to you and check you in, then show you round the hotel. Our room was a classic, with everything you needed and an extremely large bathroom. The food... more

I used to live and work in Bath and as a result never stayed in a hotel there so when my boyfriend wanted to visit I thought ha! Finally I can stay at the Royal Bath Hotel! We stayed for 2 nights over the bank holiday weekend at the end of May and we had the most fabulous time. The... more

This was a special weekend away and we decided to finish it off with afternoon tea in the gardens of the Royal Crescent Hotel. I had been on a previous occasion and enjoyed it but wouldn't bother again for the price. The food was nice but the service was very poor. The carpet in the entrance was strewn with bits. A... more

My partner and I stayed here at the end of our trip on the way back to London as it was a beautiful looking hotel right in the centre of Bath with spa faciities. From the moment we arrived we were well looked after. Our room was decorated in a classical manor but with all modern conveniences and we were... more

Just returned from a wonderful, sunny weekend stay at the Royal Crescent Hotel, Bath. I loved everything, but because of the superb weather we were able to make the most of the pretty gardens. I'm afraid we did get a bit carried away and sat in the sun drinking three glasses of champagne each. Ouch - £13 a glass! The... more

We spent a lovely weekend in the Royal crescent Hotel, as part of our 30th wedding anniversary celebration. The location is the famous Royal Crescent seen in most period dramas, overlooking the park. The hotel is a mixture of shabby chic and grand elegance a perfect balance, beautiful lavender gardens, fabulous restaurant . Very elegant Bar , Afternoon Tea was... more

I have to say we were put off by some of the feedback on this site, and nearly did not go. How glad I am that we through caution to the wind and booked for a night. The hotel is magnificent, the location, building, rooms, garden and spa - all wonderful. But topped off by some of the friendliest, helpful... more

My wife and I stayed at the Royal Crescent Hotel on Sunday and we had a fantastic and special stay to celebrate our wedding anniversary. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left, my wife and I were impressed by the courteousness, friendliness and attention to detail displayed by all the staff from the concierge, to the gardener... more
