Annual visit to Bath made and for the third year stayed at the Halycon and will be back next year! Just love it here, the best location for the train station, great rooms, friendly staff and amazing cocktails.

We stay at the Crescent when in Bath, however, on this occasion, we tried something new. It was a refreshing change. The method of reception was a little disjointed and quirky, but not off-putting. Very good rooms. TV and radio technology not all it could be. Generally, a very place to stay for people who do't want the fuss of... More

We had such a great experience at The Halcyon. The location was very close to the train station (2 blocks) and very convenient to most everything else. We walked everywhere we went. Our rooms were very comfortable and looked great. The rooms technically do not have WiFi, but many of the rooms can connect to the lobby WiFi. There is... More

Central and convenient position in city. Public car park very close. Attentive and friendly service. Clean room. Historic building with no lift to 3rd (top) floor room. Not cheap, but Bath hotels in high season tend to be pricey. Would recommend subject to points above. RF, London

Great location just outside of Main Street but in the middle of all main attractions. Very clean room, board games provided for kids were great. lovely breakfast in the restaurant downstairs, good amenities provided.

Nice hotel within strolls pace of all main places of interest. Rooms (standard plus) are comfortable but very small so book a larger one or an apartment if you need space. Public areas need a bit of paint as beginning to look tired. Staff all very helpful amd friendly. Great cold buffet breakfast.

Given the good reviews for this hotel, and apparent talk of nice rooms, I was minded to try The Halcyon on a recent 2-night business trip to Bath. I was somewhat disappointed and can only rate this as average, when comparing the price and facilities on a bed and breakfast basis. My room was quite small, with relatively low ceiling,... More

Stayed here for two nights and was completely satisfied with stay! Yes, rooms were small but the lay-out leaves nothing to be desired! Love the decor and the bed was one of the most comfortable we encountered in our entire 2 week trip of Ireland and England! Breakfast was delicious and service was top notch! Great location, within walking distance... More

The Halcyon was a great place to stay for a weekend away. Friendly staff, with clean and spacious rooms, and with a great bar below. It is in a great location near the shops and the thermal baths. WiFi is a bit of a problem and you have to pay for the parking but other than that it was a... More

Our room did not look like advertised pictures, at all. It was very small and confined, with only one small window that was not providing enough light or air. Breakfast buffet was average. Bed and bathroom were comfortable but the overall felt way too expensive for what it is.
