The Halcyon in Bath is a treat. A small hotel in the perfect location, near the train station and close to all the attractions that Bath offers. My room was on the second floor, above the potential noise from the hotel's Gastropub. The room was nicely decorated and very comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful. The Gastropub (Circo bar)... More

We've stayed in many hotels in the UK and abroad and The Halcyon rates highly. We were looking for a hotel with character, one out the ordinary and we picked a good one to escape work and the children. We had two nights in room 1.5. OK, not massive but it is a period conversion after all and has been... More

Very nice hotel - classic outside with a nice clean modern updated interior. Well situated with good parking lot close by, grocery, restaurants, pubs, activities,... Really nice big comfortable room, nice bedding, great modern large bathroom,... Very clean and quiet; we overlooked the front of the hotel. This might be an issue when it warms up and patrons for the... More

We had a lovely stay at the Halcyon during the Bath Christmas Market. The staff were helpful, the room was more than comfortable, the decor' was different (in a good way) and the hotel in general a cut above other similar level hotels. We also eat at the Circo bar, under the hotel as recommended by the receptionist. We had... More

Loved our stay at The Halcyon. Staff were wonderful, especially Sammy who completed our check out perfectly! Would recommend staying there. Great location, very close to the station and all that there is to see. Breakfast was lovely too!

Staed for one night in April 2013. Great, central location; near to rail and bus stations and everthing else you would want to get to in Bath. The building is old and lovely with lots of character, and the decor is quirky but comfortable. The rooms are small, although we were given an upgrade so have no complaints. Rooms have... More

My first time to Bath and I am delighted with my choice. Very close walking distance to the railway station, bus station and shopping amenities. Very friendly and pleasant atmosphere, no lifts but the staff are helpful in helping you with the bags. Breakfast was lovely cant fault it.

We stayed at the Halcyon for one night in May 2013 and thoroughly enjoyed our visit. The Halcyon is a short walk from the train station and perfectly in Bath. From the moment we walked into the lobby, the friendly staff was helpful and accommodating; they held our luggage until check-in and made recommendations on how to get the most... More

I appreciate that I am in the very small minority of hotel guests rating this hotel as poor which is a surprise to me as that is what it is. The definition of Halcyon is calm, peaceful, quiet, heavenly and even untroubled and this hotel is the complete opposite to this. Our room was the noisiest, smallest and stuffy box... More

Recently the whole team here have been delighted with so many fantastic reviews we have received and rightly so, as everyone works incredibly hard to offer the best service we can. As so many reviews testify, our offering in the hotel and bar is very highly rated, so I have to admit, we're all very disappointed that this reviewer apparently... More

This was the second time we have stopped here and it was as good the second time round as the first. The rooms have everything one needs for a short stay, they are very well fitted and maintained and spotless. Continental breakfast is provided in the cellar bar and there is a more than an adequate selection of cereals, cheese/salami,... More
