The Halycon is a lovely hotel in a prime location right by the centre of town and the train station. We found no faults with our room the bed was big and comfortable and the shower was amazing, we did however book a standard plus room as we read the standard rooms are tiny. The staff were all pleasant and... More

The reason of my visit To Bath was to run the half Marathon on 1 March. I expected a more flexible management of breakfast Times on the day of the race but the hotel manager decided not to provide an early breakfast. the request was not even considered, simply ignored. 30 minutes earlier (8 instead than 8,30)would have fit my... Good things. Central locality that is hard to beat. Great breakfast. Bad things. Truly rubbish wifi. Rooms that are past their best with sheets and towels that should have reached the end of their life for a hotel of this quality. The bedside light in our room was broken and the off switch was impossible to reach. I found a... More

a fabulous location and a beautiful room with excellent service. We particularly enjoyed the location and the building which is grade I listed. The hotel is perfectly positioned for central bath and is just a short walk from the station . The circo bar attached to the hotel served great cocktails and has a great atmosphere. The continental breakfast was... More

Stayed at the hotel for one night in February, couldn't have asked for a better location, just minutes from the train station and city centre. Staff were very helpful and welcoming and breakfast was really good with home made yoghurt and boiled eggs available. Unfortunately the room was not brilliant, although it was plenty clean enough it was very hot,... More

Perfect weekend break. The apartment was fantastic. Everything we could of wished for. Stayed in Apartment 6. Everything was finished to the highest quality and would definately return there. Breakfast was lovely at The Porter. Best hotel/ apartment I have stayed in.

A real treat! Staying at the Halcyon apartments was really a pleasant experience. Great fresh and stylish apartments in the midst of the pulsating restaurant and night life area of Bath. Close to everything: The Roman baths, The Royal Crescent, The Victoria park, Bath Abbey, shopping streets etc... The rooms were comfortably and tastefully furnished to the visitors needs and... A few framed Hermes scarves and some tins of grey Farrow and Ball paint does not make for a boutique hotel. This hotel has all the hallmarks of an old fashioned 1960s B and B given a quick superficial makeover. The smallest bedrooms imaginable, inelegantly divided rooms, tiny tiny bathroom, pokey corridors. Boutique implies quality and elegance, whereas this makeover... More
