Spent two nights at the Griffin whilst Viking the Bath Christmas Market. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable, with good,if small, ensuite facilities. Love old Inn with lots of character. Breakfast was excellent.

Spent excellent weekend in Bath. The Griffin was very pleasant in most ways and good value.Nice pub atmosphere with excellent beer, food was good and cooked breakfast amazing.Where did they get that bacon from! The staff were really friendly and helpful ,like a happy family. The only downside was the rooms which were in need of redecoration. My brother in law found... More

Popped by for just a couple of drinks before we headed to an attraction around the corner from here. It is a nice cosy bar, with friendly staff and plenty of seating. We only popped by for a glass of red (seemed to have a decent wine list) and only disappointed couldn't stay longer to sample their selection of vodka... More

This is a well locate pub with rooms above, staff, breakfast, decor etc all very nice however not entirely comfortable with a slightly lumpy mattress and the thin walls. Good value for money but some limitations and Wifi problematic.

stayed here on a weekend trip to the Theatre Royal (less than 5 minutes away). Ideal place to stay, just far enough from the centre not to disturbed by late night noise, but close enough to stroll into town and see the sights on Sunday morning. Plenty of character, friendly staff, good choice of ales and the cooked breakfast was... More

Made the mistake of not noting that this was a single. Had to abandon (and pay for) the room. Note that this is above a pub. The single room shown was not much bigger than 8x5. Probably didn't have an attached bath, declined the room before checking. The inn keeper was helpful in attempting to find an alternative location within... More

Lovely cosy old pub, who where nice enough to put us up after a slight mishap with a double booking. Nices Ales, Nice Whiskey.... with the bonus of some Old Spice in the toilets if you wish to freshen up for your lady friends lol

My husband and I stayed here on Wed 8th October on our way further south. It's a lovely old pub with lots of character, although it's a bit of work getting heavy cases up and down the narrow stairs - to be expected in an old building. Our room was small but nice - lovely big comfy bed, and the... More

I've been staying here, at least twice a year (plus the odd lunch) for the last 4 years. It never disappoints. Central, but feels just enough off the beaten track. A good simple menu and not a bad selection of gins either. In fact I'm almost loathe to promote it in case it gets too popular, but they deserve it.... More

We spent a night here in August as we wanted to spend a weekend sight seeing and also take in a show at the theatre (which was just around the corner!). The Griffin is a short walk away from the Jane Austen museum, the Royal Crescent, Sally Lunn's and many other 'must visit' places. Our room was larger than we... More
