My husband and I stayed here on Wed 8th October on our way further south. It's a lovely old pub with lots of character, although it's a bit of work getting heavy cases up and down the narrow stairs - to be expected in an old building. Our room was small but nice - lovely big comfy bed, and the... More

I've been staying here, at least twice a year (plus the odd lunch) for the last 4 years. It never disappoints. Central, but feels just enough off the beaten track. A good simple menu and not a bad selection of gins either. In fact I'm almost loathe to promote it in case it gets too popular, but they deserve it.... More

We spent a night here in August as we wanted to spend a weekend sight seeing and also take in a show at the theatre (which was just around the corner!). The Griffin is a short walk away from the Jane Austen museum, the Royal Crescent, Sally Lunn's and many other 'must visit' places. Our room was larger than we... More

We'd pre-paid GBP99 for one night. Arrived last Thursday 4 September 2014 and were pretty shocked at the reception area (the pub bar), dirty common areas, etc. I inspected our room and it was desperately in need of refurbishment, small, was dirty, stained carpets, torn upholstery, etc. It was so bad we forfeited our money and went elsewhere (where got... Had a lovely stay at the Griffin. Super central location, lots of character, really comfy beds and delicious cooked breakfast. (Thanks for the fried bread!). The staff are very friendly and helpful. Thoroughly recommend a stay here but only if you are good at climbing up stairs! This is an old hotel which has loads of charm but you have... More

We booked this hotel/Inn believing that we were going to stay in a four star accommodation and at £119 per night for a double room, that is what we expected. what we found was nothing up to our expectations. Having checked in at the bar we were led up to our rooms via a staircase with very stained carpet. Our... More

Excellent place to stay, close to the centre of bath and also to "The Theatre Royal", the accommodation was very good oversized bed and plenty of hot water for showers, had free wi-fi, the staff were very friendly and we were able to secure our bikes for our two day stay, the food was excellent, i would highly recommend the... Close to everything in Bath including the train and bus station. Has a great wifi connection. Small pub with a nice friendly staff, and super helpful. Small room, but everything I needed, and very clean. I would definitely stay here again. Affordable.

This is a fantastically run friendly pub with excellent beers and food and the best bar staff in Bath. Its very central and is the ideal spot for a beer after work. It can get busy but never feels too crowded. Pop in, you'll be made to feel really welcome.

The room at the Griffin Inn was comfortable and had good wifi. Parking was the only downfall as it was a 10 minute walk from the hotel and cost £8.50 per day. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. We were always greeted with a warm smile. The breakfast menu was extensive and very good - highly recommend the omelette... More
