Stayed here in a single room this year and did not feel comfortable: my room was old and dirty, the mattress was worn out, there was no wifi and it was freezingly cold at night (even with two blankets!). Daphne is a nice old lady, but can't manage the B&B any more. She is in the need of company and... More

We had a twin room and it was clean and comfortable. The owner is lovely and really makes you feel welcome and at home! Yes it is a bit like staying with your nan, but I really liked that! Breakfast was very good and we were allowed a lie in! Great pub in the road called The Bear and only... More

Not the smartest of guest houses, but the pricing reflects this – actually it offers great value as it’s quiet and cosy, and the breakfast is brilliant. The landlady is friendly and very helpful, and it’s a 10 minute walk into town so the location is just about right if you don’t want to pay top dollar for location.
