needed accommadation by bath racecourse & this was perfect. Arrived late in the afternoon & welcomed by Sal who was extremely helpful & polite. Nothig was too much trouble for him. this place was fantastic, the service from the management was perfect. food out of this world. will be visiting again very soon. Completely agree with the 2suntravellers review. Had never come across anyone like Carol before who in my opinion should not be in a job where she is dealing with the public! I don't understand the October reviewer.Yes the room was cold on arrival,but this was sorted when my husband pointed this out.The staff were very attentive,Tony & Carol were charming.Unlike large chain hotels that have awful buffet style breakfasts,the freshly cooked full english was excellent.Extra tea,coffee & toast was no trouble & served quickly & with a smile. We stayed here in the Lansdown room to celebrate my husband's birthday. Not much celebration. When we got there the bar staff spent ages trying to find the keys for the room and eventually had to give us a master key which only opened the bedroom door but said they would sort them out by dinner for us. Stayed here with husband. Room high quality and very clean! Meal in restaurant very high standard and not overpriced. Breakfast very enjoyable. Friendly staff, lovely setting and highly recommended as a great place to stay. more
