Stayed 1 night here (and never again) en route to Centreparcs. In the first room to which we were shown, the stench of damp and mould spores was unbearable. The travel cot given to us was extremely stained and smelled quite badly of faeces, not something fit for a baby. I complained and the next travel cot was new and... more

We stayed in the Liverpool Street london travelodge in March and it was superb for the money. So when i needed a travelodge for a weekend at Longleat i thought it'd be just the job. Like a fool i booked without reviewing as i thought they'd be all the same. I even told the 2 families(6 adults 5 kids) who... more

I don't understand how places like this are allowed to continue trading. The smell is the first thing you notice on arrival. It permeates through Reception and up through the stairwell but is nothing compared to the disgusting miasma which greets you when you enter the room. It is a cross between a sumo wrestlers changing room and a smoke-ridden... more

Other reviewers were correct about the 'changing room' smell. The hotel was full (the £19 deal) so we could not change rooms. Overall Travelodge rooms are OK, reasonable size, warm etc but are tired. The garage on the service area has a well stocked shop and there is a Little Chef next door. The best thing is its a 20... more

Ok, it's cheap but the first room I tried smelt of damp/ sweat/ I don't know what. The stench hit me the minute I opened the door. To be fair, I was switched to another, slightly less smelly room but still not good. more

Stayed here for one night for a wedding in nearby Bradford on Avon. Reception staff were friendly enough and we paid £10 for an early check-in although felt this was a bit cheeky considering the budget nature of the accommodation. The room was clean although on first entering there was a smell a bit like stale sweat. After opening the... more

We showed up late (9ish) at one Travelodge but it was full. The woman on the desk called Beckington for us and secured a family room for £65 - not bad for 3 adults and a toddler. At Beckington, the reception was warm and the woman on the desk couldn't do enough, finding us a cot and extra bedding. Sadly... more

Stayed here for 1 night to facilitate a visit to Longleat. First room we went into (No 25) smelt really damp. On further investigation we found the carpet damp and underlay soaking wet outside the bathroom door. Obviously been a flood at some stage. We were moved to another room. Had requested bedding for four people. Whilst is was in... more

We stayed for one night and for the price of £65 felt it was poor value for money. The room looked very tired with marks on the walls, mould on the bathroom walls and ceiling, and a broken electric towel rail "disconnected for your safety"(!). Worse of all was the strong smell of damp in our room - waking up... more

We also used this as a base for visiting Bath Spa Uni. Room looked like it hadn't been cleaned properly for months, dusty round the edges of the carpet and in the corners. The divan on the double bed had a stain down the side which resembled vomit. Mould on ceiling in bathroom and on the tiles. None of us... more
