Stayed here on our honeymoon. David and Jen were fantastic and even upgraded us to a lager room! The hosts were very hospitable and great company for a chat. The hotel is located about 15mins out of bath and great if you have a car and want accommodation that is authentic. They serve dinner and breakfast at the hotel both... More

Very friendly greeting on arrival. The room was large and comfortable; I would have liked somewhere to use my laptop, but this is a minor point. The main down side in the room was the very low powered shower, though all this meant was that it took a little longer. Breakfast was very nice and served with a smile. The... More

Stayed here for 2 days for a wedding which was held nearby. I was initially slightly apprehensive about staying after reading some of the reviews but was pleasantly surprised when i got there. Hotel is a bot oldy worldy in style but room clean. I was in room 7 - which during booking was advised as being on the small... More

The water pressure was so low having a shower was next to impossible. Also limited hot water so ended up freezing and covered in soap. Breakfast finished at 09:00 on Sunday Morning which hardly relaxing. The pricing is stratospheric - almost £500 for two days. I can only think the place survives due to wedding trade at the near-by Priston... More

Only stayed here due to a wedding at a near by venue, upon arriving we were greeted by i assume the manager, where people skill were no where to be seen. We were taken up a spiral stair case that is a danger to all attempting to get to your room. and then arrived at our room which was the... More

Recently in the area to visit friends. Unfortunately, in our opinion, the quality of the accommodation does not justify the cost. Bathroom very small, electric shower was not powerful enough and the water temperature very unstable. There was only luke warm water from the hot tap. Although breakfast was very good, the fact that you had to place your Order... More

Without a doubt this is some of the most poor service I have ever experienced in my life. The owners have not got a clue about keeping the customer happy. They are rude and unhelpful and seem to go out of their way to make things difficult. Odd rules and regulations that are impossible to negotiate with. The food was... More

The temperature falls to an all time low of -8%. There's no way we can keep our dog in the car as we did for our first two nights stay. He would freeze. We request the owner to allow us to bring our small dog in for the night. Not possible. "We have a strict no pets policy" Our offer... More

a very friendly and easy place to stay, the directions were clear and worked. It is off the beaten track in an attractive area of Somerset within easy reach of many attractions. the owners are attentive but not intrusive, they were very accommodating with our requests over meal arrangements.

Stopped over the Easter break (3 nights). Strange experience. We arrived on Good Friday at just before 2.00. We knew we couldn't check in until after 2.30 but presumed that the hotel would be open and we could have a drink and lunch first, however, when we arrived the gates were closed (not the most welcoming first impression). There was... More
