The house itself is beautiful and full of charachter, but it is also yards from the local night club and opposite an area for car parking. This meant it was very noisey in the early hours of the morning as revellers made their way home. The old oak floorboards are lovely until the people in the room above got up in... More

What an enchanting B&B. Very welcoming and friendly. Our second visit was just as lovely as the first. The atmosphere is so serene and relaxing.

We stayed In the Cadefel suite at the Old Park House November, 2010. What a fantastic room all the charm and character you could wish for in a 15th century B&B: low beams, wonky floorboards and a four poster bed. The owner, Chris was really helpful and allowed us to check in early and russled up a superb cooked breakfast.... More

My fiancee and I stayed for three nights at Old Park House. We were on a short break and had chosen Shrewsbury for its historic appeal and great independent shops and restaurants. Old Park House was a great place to stay - right next to the Abbey and just a 10-minute stroll across the English Bridge to Wyle Cop and... More

This place has real character with beams, sloping floors and history. A little dearer than most of the B&Bs we stayed in on our trip through England and Scotland, but the premium to stay in such a house is worth it. We had a cosy room on the top floor and had a great nights sleep It is tricky to... More

Everything about Old Park House is very good. Rooms are large and spacious. Beautiful 4 poster bed Food is excellent. Owner very friendly and helpful. It is only 5 minutes walk from the town centre and 15 minutes from Shropshire Archives. This 15C house interior deserves to be seen and definately should be a 5 star property. I have stayed... More

Such a wonderful place to stay. Warm and cozy room with a comfy four-poster bed. We awoke to an excellent breakfast, perfect beginning to our hectic day. Just a short walk to a variety or restaurants. Wish we could have stayed longer.

Found this lovely B & B via Tripadvisor and wasn't disappointed. Lovely feel to the house as soon as you walk in. We had a room with four poster bed - so comfy and a roll top bath for added luxury. Breakfast was delicious and after a short walk we found ourselves in the middle of Shrewsbury enjoying our first... More
