Matheran is a dusty place. think dirt paths, but no cars allowed. Everything is donkey or horse or pushcart delivered. Stayed for 2 nights with dinner and breakfast included. Food was very good - especially the puddings! Breakfast offered a good choice of cooked and continental although I would have liked to have seen a low fat yogurt or porridge available.
