My wife and I stayed at the Old Post Office, a pleasant pub, once a coaching inn having travelled on the train from London to explore Shrewsbury. We were very pleased to find its location ideal, central to all main points of interest, and only about ten minutes walk from the station. We found the rooms comfortable, well maintained and... I had a couple of nights here and enjoyed it. I found the staff to be very pleasant. The wifi was patchy. It was good on the first day and patchy on the second day. The cooked breakfast and evening meals were very pleasant. The Old Post Office is in an excellent location for seeing Shrewsbury. Just read the visitors... More

I found The Old Post Office as a pub on my last visit to attend Shrewsbury Poets next door at Eat Up, the excellent bistro venue next door on Milk Street. With a couple of fellow attendees, I enjoyed a drink in the Courtyard and checked out their accommodation. Pleased that this time I chose to stay overnight, and was... More

Friends and family have used this pub frequently when visiting Shrewsbury and what you see is what you get. Typical pub, good selection of pub food and ales. Accommodation clean, roomy, comfortable. Staff extremely helpful. Pricing realistic. Location perfect. My wife and I visited again overnight Monday, 1st June 2015 and , once again were perfectly satisfied with the services... More

On our first trip to the UK, The Old Post Office offered us our first experience in a typical BnB. After staying in motels and hotels previously, we were thrilled to come across this little BnB in the quaint town of Shrewsbury. We had left Warwick late that day and after driving for a couple of hours, arrived in Shrewsbury... More

Stayed for 5 nights whilst on business here with my dad. Lovely Bed and Breakfast in the heart of shrewsbury. Staff are friendly and welcoming, make you feel at home. The rooms are spacious and clean with ensuite facilities. Would recommend the Old Post Office to anybody traveling to Shrewsbury

The room was lovely but there was 4 lots of stairs and 4 doors to go through so we could not take our cases up to our room just an enough stuff for overnight in a little pack and the nearest parking was long term paid down 2 streets away.

The accommodation ( 6 rooms ) that are pleasant and well appointed. Tea Coffee facilities. We had an en suite double - not sure all room have this. Good nights sleep on a comfortable bed though light sleepers may suffer as this is a Grade 2 listed building and you can hear music until the pub closes. Access to the... More

Lovely pub in the centre of Shrewsbury. We had Sunday lunch which was very good, we both went for the roast option. The staff were very friendly and the service was very prompt. The main course was tasty and piping hot. We both had a pudding; my wife's portion of bread and butter pudding was enormous/ My apple crumble was... More
