Visting Shrewsbury for the weekend and found this place tucked away, we had heard good things about it on trip advisor so thought we'd give it a go, two for ten quid on food, so thought well it is what it is see what it's like, but very nice food, cosy, good ale and all at a cheap price, win!

This is certainly a great location and a pub with a great atmosphere. But the rooms were rather basic and noisy due to the pub below. Service was very friendly. Value was excellent. Clean and Tidy and Breakfast very nice

The ham tasted off like vinegar but because they were adament it came fresh daily from a local butcher I was dismissed and nothing was done. They didnt even have intention on checking it for other customers. Not recommended. Who is to say the local butcher hadnt gave them some older or poorly stored meat

Great little b&b in the centre of shrewsbury. very welcoming to our group of friends ( we had 5 outvof the 6 rooms!). Ours was an ensuite one, very comfy. The shower cubicle is a bit claustrophobic but good. the usual stuff provided. We ate twice there, very reasonable and tasty. The breakfast is lovely, 2 minor things - no... More

We booked a table for a meal on Saturday evening at 7pm. We were shown to our table and a drinks order was taken. The drinks arrived and then we were told that 2 of the items that I would have chosen were not available as they had "run out". Unfortunately there was nothing else on the menu that I... More

We decided on a mini break in Shrewsbury & my Fiance came upon this place via the internet. We wanted a central location, a pleasant room & just somewhere to lay our heads after a day of shopping. This place was far more than we expected for the very reasonable price. From the moment we arrived we were made to... More

Found hotel quite by chance for brief overnight stay in this beautiful and historic town. Ideally situated in central location. Pleasant, clean (en-suite) room. No parking facilities - nearest is NCP at £7.20 for 24 hours. Access to rooms is up several flights of (narrow) stairs across pub courtyard. However, reasonable value at £65 inc. terrific (full) breakfast for both... More

We found this little hotel on trevargo and it was really nice. Tucked away in a little mews it's full of charm and character. The rooms are clean, warm and comfortable. We had a lovely breakfast which was included in the price of the room and there was a band playing in the pub part the night before which was... More

Called in for a late lunch during a brief trip to Shrewsbury. We were given a table for two straight away, even though they were busy. Ordered drinks, which were brought to the table and the food order was taken promptly. Ordered meals from the 'two for £10' menu. After a short wait the meals arrived; good portions which were...
