Stayed here for one night with business colleagues. Nothing special and wouldn't come back. No character or atmosphere to this hotel and definately not a four star. The staff were very brusque, cold and unfriendly, was really treated like a pleb. The rooms were ok, but nothing special. The restaurant for dinner & breakfast was pretty standard. more

Looks like a Travel Lodge has crashed into a National Trust Treasure. Hotel room has the worst soundproofing we have ever stayed in, bed uncomfortable breakfast arrived in installments and was cold. All lace curtains and no knickers springs to mind more
