On Thursday night a group of us went for drinks at Cromwells, my mother arrived first where she ordered a bottle of wine - she noticed the price on the board only to be told it wasn't now the stated price. This was told to her quite abruptly and matter of factly, a poor start to the evening. We then... More

Cromwells has a lot going for it.....but not for much longer. The rooms will shortly become a restaurant. The location is great. 24hr parking is available nearby for £7 for 24hrs. The staff were really friendly. The outside garden area is exceptionally good. The breakfast is freshly cooked and of a good standard. Why only average? The unfortunate room 6... More

Spent the weekend at Cromwells. Really nice and friendly hotel. However room 6 which we had was very very small and as the weather was exteremely hot we found it uncomfortable. If you stay book room 5 which is a lovely large room with a four poster bed. We would definitely book that one if we go again. The bonus... More

Just got back from a lovely 2 night break here, the hotel is a busy wine bar with a fab outdoor seating area which is situated on 2 levels. Our room was room 5 which is the four poster room the room itself is lovely spacious and clean, the bed was fine and although on the front of the hotel... More

This is not a hotel or an inn but six rooms over a wine bar. There is no reception and no one to report items such as WiFi not working, the instructions in the room made no sense. The room was very noisy with the upstairs patio of the wine bar on one side and pub below. The pub is... More

I've stayed and eaten in the hotel before and look forward to my next visit. I have to say, whilst the rooms are a little tired and compact, they are perfectly serviceable but they well and truly make up for with a wonderful welcome and fantastic service overall. The rooms are clean and airy. The wine bar and restaurant is... More

I would certainly stay at this hotel again when I return the Shrewsbury. I was able to leave my case at the hotel whilst I went to the main car park a few minutes drive away to pay for all day parking. The staff gave us directions to find it so it was not a problem. Please pull up outside... More
