Absolutely marvellous B&B. Sonia and Mark are brilliant hosts. The Large Victorian properties have great charm. The rooms are very comfortable and clean and serviced daily. Towels changed daily. Full English breakfast excellent. Nothing is too much trouble for Sonia and Mark. Exceptional value for money. Would highly recommend. Shall definitely stay there again.

I am a single, retired, Australian traveller who recently stayed 2 weeks at Trevellian House B&B which is the "sister" building to Castlecote Guest House. My ensuite bedroom was clean and comfortable, nicely decorated and there was always a good selection of beverages and biscuits at hand. Sonia is an absolute gem, always warm, friendly, helpful and the ample breakfasts... More

This place was absolutely adorable. Great location, cosy room, comfy bed. There's a kitchen area downstairs where you can keep your own food and there are cereals and what not for if you get hungry! Within an easy walking distance to town, on a nice quiet street. Really nice, highly recommend!

We stayed in the sister B&B which was Trevellion House. Sonia was a fantastic host, very friendly and kind and did everything she could to make our stay perfect. The breakfast was delicious and the room was very clean as was the en-suite bathroom. The guest house is in walking distance of Shrewsbury town centre - it took us about... More

This was our second stay at Castlecove (although the first time it was just my better half:) and we always come back. The best thing for us is that the guest house combines the B&B standard with hostel services. Rooms are really nice, spacious and warm. The self-catering dining room with fruit always on the table, fully stacked fridge and... More

After reading so few reviews on this guest house before we went, I was a bit in the dark as to what to expect. Stayed here for 3 nighs, with family (wife, daughter 13, son 10). Great location, very quiet but close to town centre. The house is very well decorated and furnished sympathetic to its age. We had the... More

I stayed here on a cycle tour of Shropshire and found it to be a very friendly and welcoming GH. The lady owner was very helpful (suggesting eating out meal options etc) and made me feel at home. She found secure place to store my bike (which is important to me) and provided a lovely veggie breakfast. THe rooms were... More
