Just back from a weekend stay for 13, and we had a great time at Stockbatch Granary. It was ideal for our annual gathering, with plenty of space to spread out. The kitchen was pretty well equipped, dining room spacious and the lounge absolutely massive. We made good use of the play barn with table tennis, basketball and table football... More

We had a wonderful stay at the farm over Easter weekend 2014. We are a very large family of 10 adults, 2 teenagers and 5 under 3's, we comfortably filled the house. All rooms are an excellent size and big enough to fit a travel cot in (1 x cot provided by the house) Plenty of towels provided and the... More

We stayed 24-27th January 2014 at Windy Mundy Farm. Initial impressions were that this is an impressive estate, commanding the prices it requests. Great for a big group with children. The buildings are quirky and we all loved the central fire in the main living area, and the dual massive dining tables. the kitchen was well stocked and the dishwasher... More

We are obviously delighted you enjoyed "the central fire", the "massive dining tables" and the "well stocked kitchen" at Windy Mundy Farm. We had spotted damage to a small section of the carpet in one of the eight bedrooms and ordered a new carpet. Unfortunately the carpet had not been fitted before your stay. Our letting agents English Country Cottages... More

It's all been said in the previous reviews, but here's a - hopefully balanced - account of a Christmas week stay for 13 at Stockbatch Granary. First impressions are that the place is quite tricky to find, and even once you're through the marked gateway, you do begin to lose confidence as you go down the potholed track (0.8 mile)... More

We actually stayed at Windy Mundy for Christmas 2012 but I didn't write a review because a) we paid four times the cost of an average week and that was a bone of contention for me and b) I didn't really have another point of reference for a large property. However, this year we are staying in a smaller cottage... More

Windy Mundy Farm sleeps 16 and the pricing is set by the leading holiday cottages company in the UK. Christmas week 2012 worked out at £35 per person per night. During 2013 a brilliant new cleaning team and laundry company have started work at Windy Mundy Farm and the impact has already been welcomed by our guests. We have exciting... More

A group of us all met up a the "buddymoon" of some friends who had come over from Australia. A group fluctuating from 5 to six couples and 5 children aged between 18 months and 4 years old had a fantastic time there. The children had plenty of space to roam through the property with the enclosed garden, games room... More

The bedding, towels and dishwasher have all been renewed in 2013 which has now made this rental very good. With a group of mixed ages and interests there was plenty of room to spread out and do your own thing. Play barn is part of the main building which makes is easy to access and use. Kitchen well stocked with... More

Windy Mundy: Fantastic accommodation, with the only small let down being that not all the rooms had their own en-suites. Stayed here for an all girls holiday, where the lack of showers (compared to the number of people) was most apparent. Otherwise I would definitely recommend. Stockbatch Granary - again loved staying here. This time the men came along too.... More

We stayed at the stockbatch granary with friends and had a wonderful time. Weather was kind to us and the kids loved the outdoors and play barn. The dining room was big enough for our party of 14. Don't be put off by some of the negative reviews. Only negatives are it could do with a few more large beer... More

For the second year in a row we stayed on the Pitchford estate. This year we moved from Stockbatch Granary to Windy Mundy. It has the edge in terms of splendid views over the countryside. We liked the bedrooms and well equipped kitchen but thought the dining area was a bit cramped for our party. It was very cold when... More
