We have recently returned from a residential at Boreatton Park taking 60 Year 5 children, in which the children had the best time ever. Every member of staff we spoke to were helpful, very informative but most of all superb with the children. I would certainly recommend it for a school residential. Thank you PGL!

PGL Boreatton park,, fantastic, what a great experience. All the children we took away last week haven't stoped talking about Parents Get Lost, absolute brilliant, the staff were professional and couldn't do enough to make our experience perfect. The children did lots of activities and all came away six inches taller and full of confidence. A special mention to Christopher... More

Took a group here, it soon became apparent that most of the staff turned up for activities stinking of booze, some seamed still drunk or very hungover. Very noisy site so very little sleep. Not suitable for young children to be around, won't ever be returning to this site as totally not appropriate. When mentioned to reception they didn't seem... More

Boreatton Park is the largest of the PGL centres (therefore arguably the best facilities in 250 acres of parkland) with over 1,000 people on site dependent on the season (additional tents in the summer). Therefore the Canteen can get busy at times but with 180 staff to look after everyone, the family stay really exceeded our expectations as running the... More

Boreatton Park is set in beautiful grounds there is a wide range of activities available. The children loved abseiling, zip wiring, rafting, leaping for the trapeze and many other activities. The accommodation was warm and clean, everyone found something to eat at every meal and there was plenty of food available. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit.

At PGL, it was great. I made lots of new friends, participated in some AMAZING activities and the staff were funny and kind. The thing was, the water activity staff were pretty mean and made us pull the heavy boat up the muddy hill without helping! And they acted like it was EASY. The facilities for the activities were brilliant... More

This has the potential to be amazing as the centre is set in a huge, picturesque forest with lakes etc. In reality, it's tired and unloved. Of course it's dirty - it's a forest - but the kayak area is literally carpeted in goose poo. Barely a poo-free inch on which to set your bag down! Bins overflowing, abandoned rolls... More

We’ve been to other providers but this centre is quite “simply the best” aged between 9 and 11 and from the beginning all the group (adults and kids) were treated with respect and made to feel very welcome. The children, once settled into the accommodation met our Group Leader (Ethel) and through out the holiday she was superb, keeping everyone... More

I have just come back from a 4night stay at PGL Boreatton park. The accommodation was generally fine. But don't expect eggs with your full English breakfast as there are none! The instructors that led the water based activities were mean and horrid, who took great joy in Throwing all of us into the freezing cold lake. If you refused... More

Here at 19th Rochdale brownies we couldn't fault a thing at PGL. The guides and groupees are all about the children and take ease with relating to them and challenging them. All the activities showed huge safety precautions taken seriously which was comforting to all our leaders. The food had a large variety for all types of eater and cold... More
