This was a second visit to this hotel which is quiet but an easy stroll into Ludlow. It has been very handsomely refurbished with a light, airy conservatory serving well presented and delicious food. The bar and breakfast areas are comfortable and attractive. Bedrooms are small but adequate; overall very good value for money.

The hotel, which has been taken over by new management, was unrecognisable from our last visit several years ago. It has been thoroughly modernised with the addition of a superb conservatory dining room. The location is in a quiet cul de sac country lane which made for a very relaxed and peaceful stay. On arrival, we had a really friendly... More

Stayed one night in the Annexe. Two bedrooms with king size beds, one wetroom with a shower, wash hand basin and toilet. and one kitchen. Friendly and helpfull staff greeted us on arrival. Parked car outside what is in effect a small bungalow behind the hotel so could unload lugage straight into accommodation. Rooms were clean and beds comfortable. The... More

We had a one night stay. Rang to book two rooms, one for an elderly lady. Reception couldn't have been more helpful. Provided a shower only room on the first floor in recognition of her mobility difficulties. Both rooms pristine and particularly comfortable beds. Spacious and well equipped bathrooms. Breakfast was very good and served quickly and pleasantly. We asked... More

Enjoyed our stay here in tucked away over the river from Ludlow (walkable in 10 mins). Room was for 2 adults and one little one. Pros - great staff, convenient location with nice garden, generally clean. Cons - hot/stuffy at night, view of caravan park next door from our room (!), a bit dusty, bed not the most comfortable. The... More

Id say just 10 mins walk to centre but going there is a 25 degree gradient hill. Good exercise and downhill coming back. Very quiet setting. Best quality breakfast we have ever had. Room was on 2nd floor, not completely modernised but well worth the money and when we go back to Ludlow, we will go back to this hotel.

We stayed in one of the newly refurbished rooms and could not fault it, bright & warm, comfortable bed & great shower. However what really disappointed us was the staff attitudes. As guests we were made to feel like an inconvenience to them. A nightcap at the bar was served with reluctance. The meal we had was OK but everything had... More

I spent a couple of night's at The Cliffe and found it to be a perfectly acceptable smallish 3*ish hotel. Food looked rather nice although I didn't eat there. Rooms were adequate and it was just the sort of place that I wouldn't write a review about, because it was unspectacularly ok. However, on the second night, I returned from... More

Whilst staying with friends we found the location well placed for visiting Ludlow on foot, our room was spacious, clean and comfortable. The public areas were modern and well presented and the food very good. I had slow roast belly pork one night and the crackling was to die for. The owners and staff were very friendly and most helpful... More

Jazz at The Cliffe is always classy, some of the best musicians in the West Midlands play here! And the coffee....the best Americano in Ludlow, full of wonderful caramel flavour and no bitterness. Oh and the food is yummy too!
