My husband and I stayed here for one night in March, 2009. It was absolutely lovely and the hotel staff could not have been nicer. Our room was, I believe, upgraded. The room, which even had a fireplace, was absolutely huge and well appointed. The bathroom was larger than some hotel rooms I've stayed in. The full breakfast, which was... more

The hotel is beautiful from the outside and full of character on the inside. The breakfast was very good. Now for the negatives: - 1) some members of staff gave the impression that they would rather be somewhere else. 2) the shower temperature and pressure varied from cold trickle to boiling monsoon. 3) we requested some loo roll which took... more

I stayed in the Feathers for a work meeting. The outstide of the Hotel is simply beautiful, there's no doubt about that, and some of the meeting rooms and public areas are stunning too - the reading room on the 1st floor is something else. However as a guest, there were clearly some areas that need improvement: 1) The bar... more

We have wanted to visit the Feathers for twenty years, since attending the July Shakespeare festival in the 80s . At twentysomething the feathers seemed a little intimidating, oh what fools we were. We eventually stayed this march. Having an Autistic son our breaks are very precious. the feathers was one of the shining jewels of our yearly breaks. The... more

I have stayed in The Feathers before, as we have been coming down for the last four years to try and find a house in Ludlow. On the first visits, the hotel was excellent, couldn't find anything wrong with it at all. However, on our last visit, I was dissapointed. The restaurant staff were very ill-tempered and it seemed as... more

The weather was freezing but the welcome we received was very warm and friendly. We were upgraded and the room was lovely, plenty of hanging space for our clothes. The bathroom was very big but the floor was very cold, slippers were provided however.Didn't eat in the resturant but the local Indian served excellent food. We had drinks served by the... more

We recently booked a double room here for the night of November 26th for 95 GBP including breakfast. There is also a 5 GBP charge to park in their parking lot overnight. Given The Feathers' billing by The NYTimes as the "best historic inn" in England, I was really looking forward to my stay as I am an English history... more
