I booked this hotel for one night on a DBB base as a stop over on our way down to London This was the first time we had stayed with this group but we were not disappointed Dinner and breakfast were good wine slightly overpriced but this is the norm for any hotel. Staff very friendly, room very nice and roomy.... more

It was my first experience at Kenwood Hall and I can only pass on my recommendation to others to experience this real oasis. It is set in the most beautiful grounds in a residential part of Sheffield with it's own lake (and fishermen). The service from the front desk was outstanding and truly welcoming. Scott, who was on duty at... more

Looking for a quiet romantic weekend away we booked three nights B&B at Kenwood Hall through lastminute.com and paid only £153. We were initially put off by some of the negative comments listed by others that had stayed there but decided to book anyway and we are so glad we did. The hotel is located within a 25 minute walk... more

We have just returned from a weekend spent at this hotel - admittedly booked a 'deal' D,B&B .. and quite honestly It would be hard to find fault. Above all we were impressed by the staff - obviously time had been invested in them (training them). Our room was generous in proportion (though I do wish hotels would not let... more

We spent a night at this hotel for a wedding and although at first the hotel seemed to be at four star qualities, holes began to emerge. The rooms were large and well furnished granted, although there were some problems. There were a few things missing that you would expect to find in this type of hotel – no mini-bar,... more

This is the old Sheffield Marriott, sold off in 2007. It consists of modern(-ish) rooms and central reception added to a Victorian mansion, all in a pleasant hilly park with lake. Reception was good ( we wished they'd sort out the keycards, which kept un-vaildating themselves) and the room fine if a bit anonymous and bland. Hospitality tray was a... more

As residents of Sheffield, I guess its strange us choosing to stay in a hotel in the same city. Well, our house was being decorated and due to not wanting to live in a great deal of mess, we moved into the hotel for a week. What a disappointment. The member of staff greeting us was rude. He was on... more

We stayed here for three nights at the end of July 2009. I stayed with my husband and 2 young children (1 year and 3 year old). This was our first time of staying in a hotel with the children and we were worried how they would get on as they like to have breakfast as soon as they wake... more

I first found this hotel when I was looking to stay at a Marriott hotel. When I rang Marriott reservations they informed me it was no longer a Marriott hotel. I found it it was owned by Principal Hayley who I am not familiar with. It looked nice from the photograph and the description sounded just what I was looking... more

I recently stayed at Kenwood Hall for a wedding and the room we were given when compared to others staying at the hotel was very small!! the room was also very stuffy, however we were provided with a fan, oh yes the fan had no front and therefore when i put it on, we had to make sure we didnt... more
