I have stayed at this hotel 3 times on business trips. Each visit I stayed in a double room, which was large, with luxury linens and all the usual amenities one would expect, ironing equipment, hair dryer, complimentary toiletries and spring water etc. Like the other reviewers I found the staff efficient but unfriendly but this is a small quibble,... more

Stayed at this hotel for one night. nice location, great pool, but the hotel, rooms etc are far overdue for a makeover. I am assuming thats why is't no longer a Marriott. Its a very tired and worn hotel. Staff were great, but the fact that the hotel was a falling apart didn't make me want to go back more

Dear Guest Thank you for taking the time to post your feedback following your recent stay with us. I was pleased to read that you had enjoyed some elements of your stay, such as the Pool and the service from our team. But obvioulsy disappointed by your comments relating to the decor of the hotel. The hotel is decorated in...

I chose this hotel for two reasons, firstly it was close to the Abbeydale Road, and secondly it had internet access so I could complete some work when I got there. The location was fine, but the internet didn't work, which was annoying. The staff were as helpful as they could be without actually solving the problem. The hotel looks... more

On arrival at this hotel, it's an immediate wow after travelling through Sheffield town. It's in a leafy suburb and you would be forgiven for thinking you had arrived in the Country. There are sufficient car parking spaces within the grounds of the hotel. The reception area is pleasant and the staff equally so. Check in was swift and efficient... more

Marriott Sheffield. Elsewhere I have mentioned that Marriott can be overpriced for what it is, 5 star bills for 4 star services but not with the Marriott Hotel in Sheffield. Its by no means in the city centre but instead rests peacefully beside a lake in the suburbs. Based on an old suburban house it is really lovely, with immaculate... more

Our fourth stay at Kenwood Hall, and the first since it was sold by Marriott to PH. It's in leafy Nether Edge, about 15 minutes from the city centre. Very close to trendy Eccleshall Road and it's many bars and restaurants. The hotel grounds are lovely, the best rooms in the new part of the hotel are 131 - 137,... more

This is a really interesting hotel. Situated a mile from city centre, in the university area, it has fantastic grounds more appropriate to a county house hotel. At its centre is a conversion of a big victorian house with additional modern wings. Nice big bedrooms with lovely comfortable beds, large bar/foyer area and dining room overlooking the grounds and lake.... more

So you know I am not being biased here, I am an enormous fan and a definte 'brand junky' when it comes to Marriots. Whenever I am away on business, either in the UK or in the US, I insist on a Marriot hotel - or one of the others in the Chain - whenever possible and I have done... more

Sadly when I got to the Marriott they had over booked and said they could not honour my guaranteed reservation despite the fact I am a frequent stayer. The eve manager said they had known this since yesterday but don't contract guests to let them know this. I was told by the check in girl that this was not the... more

This hotel is very much a mix of styles and standards. Walk from one end to the other and you will pass from new to old going through grotty in the middle. Having stayed in Marriott hotels throughout the world this ranks very low yet seems happy with this fact. When we told the reception that our towels were stained... more
