We booked this hotel for our 1st wedding anniversary and we were not disappointed. We just booked for the one night and was quite surprised how remote Whitley Hall seemed while you were there, yet it was only 1/4 down the road from shops and pubs. Meadow Hall is also only 10 mins away. When we arrived we were pleasantly... more

We were looking for a hotel outside Sheffield on our way from Scotland to Surrey and planning to visit Chatsworth the following day. The hotel is tucked away in the countryside and hidden at the bottom of a quiet lane. There is a modern wing and the original building. There is a lake outside the modern wing and a peacock... more

We were stopping in Sheffield, because we were going to see a band at the 02 academy. After looking at the previous trip advisor reviews, I decided to stop at Whitley Hall hotel. They had really good deals on their website and we went for the champagne break - £130 for superior room, breakfast, evening meal and a bottle of... more

I would like to confirm what everyone else has said. We stayed for just 1 night on the Romantic break. Our room was in the new part, but it still had the atmosphere of an older building. Room was comfortable and spacious. The food was excellent. A good selection of traditional and slightly more adventurous dishes. Staff and service were... more

This hotel is absolutely beautiful. We have been on two occasions now and enjoyed the "romantic break" deal. This is well worth the money as you get bubbly on arrival, a three/five course evening meal depending on the night you stay and superb accommodation and breakfast. The food is wonderful, the ambience of the place is relaxing and tranquil and... more

You will not be disappointed but rather surprised. My expectations were definitely exceeded. It can be a little difficult to find, but once you are there you appreciate it as it's all tucked away and private at the end of a quiet road. Lovely rooms, cosy atmosphere, nice welcome touches to the rooms, great food (eat in the hotel!), beautiful... more

Staff, Service, Room, Food excellent Building/decor very well kept. As we are both experienced in the hospitality industry we would expect any flaws to stand out and be obvious to us. There were none. I would highly recommend Whitley Hall. In fact I already have, the day I came home!!! Can't wait to return!! Mr & Mrs Povall more

Lovely, beautiful hotel. We stayed in room 17, and were warned of the noise from the wedding 'disco' - which ended at midnight and was easy to snooze through anyway. The room was spacious and luxurious - a small free bottle of port a nice touch. Lovely bathroom with the largest bath we've ever seen and a massive shower, too.... more

My husband and I recently stayed in Whitley Hall to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The hotel is so beautiful set in landscaped grounds, though close to the city you could think you were in a remote country hotel. The staff were very polite and helpful on arrival and we were absolutey blown away by the four poster bedroom we had... more
