We really enjoyed our stay at Whitley Hall Hotel, the room was perfect and very clean. The food was excellent with a great selection of wine. The staff were all very friendly and made our stay very personal and enjoyable. I would definitely return.

Couldn't fault this hotel. Although 2 weddings taking place at the hotel staff found time to welcome us and met all our needs always with a smile. 5 star + treatment with all amenities. Gardens extensive and well managed. The garden handyman also took the time to chat about our break with tips even though he was busy following the morning... More

The hotel space and grounds are excellent, such a beautiful setting which transports you back in time. The main meal was adequately presented but in my opinion the breakfast was better- traditional English, better than continental style. The down side is the bar prices, which are very inflated and leaves you feeling basically ripped off. One does expect to pay... More

Yet again, cannot fault the service, location and food. Romantic overnight break on the 2nd September. Usually book room 6 but was unavailable had a look around vacant rooms and decided on a suite in the courtyard..... WOW ABSOLUTELY fantastic. Evening meal superb as was the service. Breakfast was delicious. Look forward to our next visit. Thank you.

I was really looking forward to staying at this hotel, however upon arriving at the hotel, I automatically felt unwelcome and like I was an inconvenience to the reception staff. Upon check-in, I was never asked if I would like any help with my bags, I wasn't advised what the procedure was for breakfast, informed of check-out time or given... More

We had room 11, called a 'Superior' room, it was 'cosy', nicely decorated but not spacious. Bathroom was a good size and well fitted. The room had a nice outlook over the courtyard, will try and get a room at the end of the corridor next time so that we are not disturbed by the squeaky floorboards and noisy chatter... More

We just loved this hotel. Lovely cosy room. Room 9. I wouldn't say it had the best view in the hotel of the lovely gardens. But we were happy. We had Dinner and the food was well presented and wonderful. Breakfast was just the same. Everywhere looked picture perfect. Can't wait to come back again. Thank you to the staff... More

Having had a less than satisfactory stay last year, we decided it was time to give the hotel another try - we've been staying there over many years, normally without any complaints at all and we like it a lot. It was definitely back to normal this time, from initial phone call to leaving after two very pleasant and comfortable... More

Conveniently located near to junction 36 of the M1 it's quite unexpected to find such a tranquil, quiet, little back water. As I drew up the resident peacock was taking a turn of the grounds with his two hens and muster of four peachicks. This is a very well maintained sandstone, period country house hotel, complete with wood panelling, beam... More
