This is the worst hotel I have ever stayed in, in my life and it's not even cheap which is should be!!!!! Holes in the walls, dirt and grime everywhere. I was scared to put my bare feet on the floor after a shower..........Had to get drunk in the evening just to pluck up the courage to go back -... more

An experience that will stay with you forever ! ! ! I've seen some Sh*tholes in my time but never expected to pay to stay in one This is not a hotel, there's the smell of cats pee in the room, I had to rub the filth from the window to see out. Couldn't see the pattern or colour of... more

I booked to stay here for 1 night as I had treated my partner to see a gig at the Boardwalk. The outside appearance was terrible, the inside worse. It smelt musty and in need for some severe decorating (or demolishing). The man at reception (who was very polite, but somewhat bemused that we were staying there) had to find... more

We arrived without a booking and were given a room. Very basic, wooden floorboards and TV. Not overly comfortable but it did for a night's stay at a cheap price. The man at the front desk was helpful with all of our queries. more

My partner booked us into this hotel at the last minute and unfortunately we didnt do our usual checks on reviews etc. As we approached by car, I thought we had surely got the wrong place, as the building looked so run down and filthy from the outside. As I got out of the car on the hotel car park,... more

Myself and 5 friends booked this hotel because it was fairly central and was a cheap bed for the night as we were going to watch the snooker. On arrival I was a little taken aback by the surroundings of the hotel, with a derelict pub and various delapidated buildings being the scenery. The hotel itself is very old and... more

After reading reviews on this website, I feared for the worst. We were met by friendly (although you could say bored) staff and the reception, bar and unused room on the left all looked nice. Checked in without a hitch and made our way up to the room. The further you get into the hotel, the more you notice the... more

Dirty, Smelly and Disgusting. Wallpaper in the stairway was held on with drawing pins. The 18inch cobwebs had cobwebs. The bathroom had major peeling paint and black mould by the bath. The carpect was so yuk, our teenage girls refused to walk on it barefoot. I don't mind tired furniture or unfashionable decor but I do mind dirt and grime... more

My stay at the Riverside Court was certainly not what I expected, maybe I ought to have read the other reviews on this website before I booked! After arriving at the hotel, like others i found it odd that the front door was kept locked, and that to gain entry, I had to ring the doorbell - which looked like... more

This has got to be one of the worst hotels I have stayed in. On the positive side the rooms were a good size and the bedding and towels were clean and it is only a five minute walk to the centre. From the outside the hotel looked deserted, run down and the windows were filthy. On arrival the staff... more
