Basic room and a little dated but simple prices, en suite a little tight for a 6ft 3" bloke but welcome . Nice breakfast. Was surprised to pay when arriving normAlly do that as you leave. But a few commercial vans outside and they can do flits so can understand that. All Ok and quite

Thank you to the very hospitable owners, who treat us like family every time we stay. Very welcoming, huge quiet family room, very clean throughout with comfortable beds and a choice of shower rooms (not just one!). A tasty choice of breakfast is included and all at a very reasonable price in a perfect location. I couldn't ask for more,... More

I got exactly what I expected for the price - a room to sleep in and some warm food in the morning. The bed was fine, the room was small but sufficient for the purposes of sleeping, the shower surprisingly well cleaned for its state of repair, the staff very friendly, and the breakfast sufficient if not overly appealing. In... More

First... the good. The owners are indeed super-friendly, flexible and helpful. The hotel is being upgraded so they are clearly investing. But beyond that, the only reason to stay here is location. The room was small, dated, not as clean as it could be and had very thin curtains which meant I woke at 5am with the sun streaming in... More

Suspicious of this review as no evidence of guest staying. Factually incorrect and there are advertising issues in the review. More

If you're looking for a cost effective place to stay while visiting the university, then this is a good choice. I stayed here during a trip to the university for a conference. It's a traditional british guest house and offers good value for the price. The family running it are friendly and helpful. The building itself is beautiful, although the... More

Great value for money and located near to student areas. Easy walk into town. Room was large and comfortable and got a good night's sleep. The breakfast was also nice and the owners were friendly. For the price we paid I would recommend this B&B.

The welcome was warm and the house is attractive. Also very quiet which is a real plus. We were however shocked to find blankets on the bed and not a duvet. Not pleasant. We had read reviews abut the wonderful breakfast but can't say it was. Bacon dry and egg yolk solid. No choice at all. Pretty good value for... More

Stayed here for one night whilst visiting someone in hospital (10 mins walk away). Owners very obliging and helpful, allowed us to leave our car here all day whilst we caught bus into city centre. Convenient, quiet location in all respects, for university, hospitals and city centre. Breakfast was very tasty and served promptly at our chosen time.Tiny shower room... More

Mandy is a perfect host and cooks an excellent breakfast which is served promptly to suit you. The rooms are comfortable and all the beds are new. Restaurants in Broomhill and Crookes are close by so you can enjoy a drink and walk back. We stay at least once a week and have slept well on every occasion. The location... More

Chosen for location AS close to the hospital. Rooms were comfortable and equipped with kettle. En suite in room small but adequate, shower powerful and hot. Breakfast was very good with plenty of choice. Sitting room with TV available, useful for watching Wimbledon!
