I only stayed for one night whilst visiting a friend in the city, but I shall definately return. If you like the appeal of modern, minimalistic (and often what I consider to be bland) hotel experiences, then this place may not be for you. The house is quirky and full of interesting bits and bobs, giving it a cosy and... more

I was rather disappointed with this B & B compared to other reviewers. Apart from the good views over Sheffield the room I was in was very oppressive with dark red walls and very old dark furniture. The fireplace top and the bath were quite dusty. more

This is a very lovely B&B, which is in the one of nicest area of Sheffield and is very convenient for the University. It's a long way from the anonymous identikit rooms of the average big hotel. We were given a very warm welcome and each room was individual and very attractive and comfortable. The shower in our room wasn't... more

This is a lovely place to stay, although it might not suit everyone. It really doesn't feel like a Bed and Breakfast, more like a family visit to (depending on your age) your aunt, your sister, your niece and her family. Staying in the Swedish room was like visiting a friend and staying in their spare room, although with better... more

We stayed one night in the delightful twin room. The warm welcome, really comfortable bedroom and very spacious bathroom made our stay very enjoyable. The hosts were not only welcoming, but also full of useful information about the local area and Sheffield in general. Breakfast was great too. I can wholeheartedly recommend Hardwick House. more

I was very comfortable here and the £34 rate for a single with full English was good value. Short walk to pubs, restaurants etc. I would stay here again. more

Hardwick House is almost as attractive and charming as it's good looking and attentive owners! Food is scrumptious and magically appears from the comforting warmth of a traditional Aga. This entire spacious and immaculate property has been designed with exceptional flair and imagination. A floral balcony bedecked with interesting objets d'art overlooks a magical and suprisingly large garden festooned with... more

I cancelled a reservation at another Sheffield hotel on the strength of its awful Tripadvisor reviews, and booked in at Hardwick House. A warm welcome, beautiful (and slightly eccentric!) family home, comfortable bed, clean, simple, and pleasant. Breakfast was very good indeed. Restaurants and pubs are close, and it's within walking distance of the middle of town. I can't recommend... more

We stayed a night at this fantastic little B&B not far from Sheffield city centre. We stayed in the twin room which was very comfortable, clean and decorated very tastefully. The whole house is beautifully presented and very homely. What made our stay most enjoyable was the warm welcome we received and the fantastic cooked breakfast! It is very reasonably... more

I found the hardwick house B&B with some difficulty, because they don't have a sign outside, though I'm told this is normal practice in the city. The place was very nice, and exactly as it appeared on the website, except for the chickens in the garden (endlessly entertaining) and the views over Sheffield city (surprisingly nice)We thought it was brilliant... more
