Friendly staff (and very helpful - they loaned me a charging cable for my phone), room was a single (which is what I'd booked so can't complain about its compactness). Shower was only luke warm at 6.45am when needed it. No problems with it not being clean or well kept or anything. Window didn't open; view was of another building... More

Last minute booking - we booked an executive suite, what I thought was a bargain at £55 but I'm pleased that's all paid. Yes the bed was big but that's as executive as it got. The facilities in the room were basic and what I would expect from a standard room. Though the room seemed clean I won't be staying... More

We stayed in Sheffield on the 30th October 2014. We were pleasantly suprised by the Cutlers. It had an old world charm. Our favourite part of the hotel was the breakfast room which had a medieval feel to it. All staff were very pleasant, especially the first receptionist we met. Beds were comfortable and clean. Breakfast was very good. We... More

I have stayed here a few times and was delighted to see John Paul was on night duty. The man is nothing short of an absolute gentleman. He recognised me which was a lovely touch. He then was happy to chat away and really make me feel welcome. if the management are reading this then take note that john Paul... More

Our room was beautifully refurbished with large radiator making it a nice, warm room. The bed was a Queen size which was lovely. However, the lift was not working, the hairdryer was mounted too far away from the mirror making it diffcult to use. The TV was also located to the very left of the room making it hard to... More

Stunningly awful experience that almost ruined my daughter's graduation. Could not get over the awfulness of this hotel and walked out after an hour. Had booked through Expedia who despite having a no cancellation policy on my booking immediately refunded my money which was wonderful. However we still needed to find two rooms for two night in the busiest week... More

I booked this hotel at the last minute in my mobile phone and am so sorry for news of financial problems they are facing. I had no idea until I read these reviews! That explains the fact that the lift wasn't working, there was no real internet provision and there was a slightly sad feel around the place. BUT it... More

I booked 4 nights + breakfasts starting 10th Sept. After 2 nights and after being out all day I arrived back around 8.30pm to find the hotel had gone into administration and I had to move out. I understood it to be a franchise under the Best Western name. They said they would refund me the 2 remaining nights which... More

stayed for two nights at this hotel and the first thing to be said is its great location. Smack bang in the city centre and within a short walking distance of the theatres and the shops. It is also right on a tram route which will take you all around the city or even out to the Meadow Hall shopping... More
