I received appalling service at this accommodation during my stay on 8/8/14 and 9/8/14. I was asked to pay on arrival, which is not acceptable, but I could not refuse. Their Visa machine did not work so they made me go to get cash from a machine late at night. There was no-one on Reception when I arrived back on... More

I stayed at Diplomats Lodge with my husband and our friends. We all found the B & B to be a real hidden gem! After reading some of the bad reviews, we were a little apprehensive about our visit, but were relieved to find that non of the reviews appeared to be warranted. Our room's were both very large and... More

If your looking for the ritz then this place is not for you. Was in room 8 which was huge yes the bed was low and a bit lumpy a few stains on the pillows but there were spare ones in the cupboard. Bathroom was huge and very clean. Didn't do breakfast as we left early. For the money paid... More

We, my mother and I, informed the manager that we would be an hour late due to heavy traffic on the M1. We were greeted warmly and shown to our room. Initially everything appeared to be fine, we stayed in room 5 on the 21/02/2014, it was a spacious room with a large double bed with clean white sheets. However,... More

Stayed there for one night while visiting Sheffield to see The Who in concert. The room was spotless with free Wi-Fi and a good modern TV. The staff were friendly and helpful. Would have no qualms about staying there again for longer.

Spacious, clean room. Great big television. Short taxi ride to city centre where I was working. The pizza place at the bottom of the lane has a huge selection of curries, wish I had discovered that earlier. Lebaneses restaurant also handy. Prefer sheets to duvets and would have liked a Gideons bible.

We stayed at the Diplomat's Lodge B&B on the night of Saturday 1st June 2013. Our initial impression was very good. Booking over the phone was smooth and easy enough. The staff were warm and friendly on arrival. We had spent a little longer on the journey than I had expected. Which seemed to have everyone is a tizzy. I... More

Was booked in here by work, and had a quick peek at their website before confirming. I requested breakfast at 06:45, which was no problem for them; during the phone conversation, they asked for an approximate arrival time. Pictures on website looked good, and I was surprised that it was 4* for that price. Booked the afternoon before the first... More

I would like to share my opinion and stay at the diplomat Lodge B&B Guest House, I would first like to say that as a Regional Sales Manager I have stayed in lots of hotels and guest houses in the UK. On reading the reviews on this page I was very unsure about what to expect and thought we were... More
