Ancient stone-built pub/restaurant/hotel in heavily wooded Loxley Valley, on the northwestern outskirts of Sheffield. A secluded location at the end of an narrow access road. Good choice of handpulled beers and good food, with friendly service. Several public rooms with comfortable seating. The Robin Hood connection is very strong - Robin was called Robin of Loxley. Good walking round about.... More

Stayed at The Robin Hood whilst attending a wedding at Wood Lane Countryside Centre. We were met by Elliott and the wonderful service began immediately. Nothing was too much trouble. Maid Marion Room very pretty and excellent breakfast. An oasis in the city!!!! Mr & Mrs J.

Having seen the website for The Robin Hood Inn and then checking out it Tripadvisor I booked a room and was really looking forward to my stay. However... when I arrived after a very long and tiring day, I found that you actually check-in at the bar. Not a problem but I had to wait whilst another couple were served... More

We stayed at the Robin Hood for a weekend when visiting family in Sheffield. We arrived Friday lunchtime for a meal with family and friends and the food was lovely and the service excellent. Nothing was too much trouble. Our room was clean, warm, cosy and comfortable. We had breakfast on both mornings and the food was great. We drank... More

We all loved this hotel and plan to return. The rooms are lovely and truly 'boutique'. Each room is to a different design. The beds are very comfortable and the location is very quiet and even rural, given that it is literally on the western outskirts of Sheffield. We did not notice much noise from the pub below and all... More

My partner and I stayed at the Robin hood inn on the outskirts of Sheffield for three nights midweek. From the moment we entered the door and were warmly welcomed by Karl we were made to feel at home. Our room, Maid Marion was extremely pleasant, clean and quiet. It overlooked the wood. The bathroom was modern, spacious and spotless.... More

We have stayed at this place three times now because our daughter lives in Sheffield and we have not like any of toeh other hotels. Beautiful bedrooms with lots of thoughtful extras you don't find in many hotels. Lovely views and doesn't seem as though you are so close to Sheffield. Price extremely reasonable for what you get. Beds are... More

We decided to visit this area of the country in order to view various landmarks, e.g. Chatsworth, etc. The Robin Hood Inn is a great place for a base as it is relatively near most tourist worthy visiting sites. The staff are very friendly, the food is good and the accommodation of a high standard. Even the locals who frequented... More

After reading the website description of location you would be forgiven for thinking that this was a little country Inn in a sleepy village. After driving off the beautiful moorland of the Peak District we were slightly put off by the housing estate we were driving into and of the derelict and burnt out factories that we saw as we...
