Very friendly staff. Room very clean and tidy with a good shower. Excellent location for shops and nightlife, close to train station. The self service breakfast was very reasonable and included a selection of cereals, croissants and hot food with fruit juices, tea and coffer I have based my comments on the cost per night and my expectations were more... Nice Ibis with central location. Typical Ibis rooms so you know what to expect. Airco which was a great plus during the heat wave. Hotel reception welcoming as per updated Ibis standards. If driving in, be sure to ask the hotel beforehand for directions to the public car park where they have a deal with. No parking directly at hotel... More

IBIS are getting more expensive, because they are getting better. This hotel has everything you need, ask for an Iron on the desk as avoids the 7th floor ironing room. Location is great, rooms are clean service is as needed. Ask for a high floor (up to 14) to avoid the noise. Breakfast is OK and basic.

No evening meal which I had ordered and paid for but good menu for room service, however by time collected tray from reception and got back up to room food cold. Fire alarm in middle of night- organised chaos!!

Yes, it is in IBIS, yes it has a lower rate than the up-scale hotels and yes it is in fact budget. BUT I would go as far as calling it "upscale-budget". The rooms are neat and modern, the hotel itself is nicely decorated; the lobby in particular. It is close to everything Reading has to offer. For me on... More

Basic and clean. The railway station 1 minute walk. Car park is hard to find although it is a rear of hotel, we paid £20 for 48 hours, half price as you are a resident. Good choice of breakfast in large room. Secure rooms as door security card opens the lift door to get to floors.
