This place just makes you cringe when you see it, in this case go ahead, judge by the cover. Staff aren't helpful, room cold, bed uncomfortable, breakfast, didn't even bother. I would avoid this place!

I needed to get out of London for a day or two and having never been to Reading I decided that's where I would go. I found this hotel on laterooms.com for £50. It looked very nice in the picture. I booked a double room. When I arrived, the hotel from the outside looked absolutely nothing like the pictures. I... More

Avoid at all costs! The hotel is very dated, the man on the reception was unhelpful when we arrived and the electric shower leaks water from inside the shower unit!! Very noisy all night and in the early hours of the morning meaning I couldn't even get a decent nights sleep! In 12 years working away this is the worst... More

Had to stop over in reading and once again this was the only hotel that was available near the centre. The room I had was pleasant. It was nothing more than average but clean and comfortable. However, the bathroom was small. Is good for what it is which is a cheap hotel near the centre

Stayed here a couple of nights as everything else was booked. The room was really bad, small, stain marks in the ceiling. The carpet bedding was poor and the tv barely worked. The bathroom is the worst I've seen. I can't recommend this place. I will not stay again unless I have no choice

I'm telling you now ... The only reason this hotel is still in business is because of first time visitors . Everything is either dirty or broken - no money has been spent on upkeep in last 15years please please understand it's awful .

Avoid unless you are a builder and need a cheap place to rest with your workmates. Quite possibly the worst hotel I have ever been to. Shower leaking through the electrics, the smallest TV with the hilarious VCR attached. Is it still 1980 there? You can hear every movement of every other guest, Every floorboard creek, every voice. And I... More
